Maybe it's true that the porn that coincides with our youth and sexual awakening tends to imprint itself on the brain. But, I just love early 80's porn, because it was such a watershed moment. Films were still being made with actual narratives (and you went to a movie theater to see it!), boys still had hair on their crotches and, above all, the sex was carefree. Gay porn just seemed less like a monetary transaction and more like a cultural happening. It had soul. Now don't get me wrong - there's a lot of porn made today that I love, especially the "reality" and niche-based stuff like Active Duty.
