It's great to see all this ol' porn. I met Joey Stefano back in the late 80s at the Endup in SF. And when I say "met," it was really only to shake hands and say hello.

I met another gay porn star, but his name escapes me at the moment -- also in SF. He had the hots for my boyfriend at the time. I heard he later became a porn producer.

Only mentioning these guys, because it was a strange time in my life and I imagine if you lived in SF or LA or NY back then, gay pornstars were easy to come across, especially if you spent any time in clubs. I saw several guys who'd done spreads in various magazines of the time also. Some were just as hot as the pics, but others you'd have passed on the street and not even recognized unless someone pointed out it was them.

A lot of the pornstars of the 80s died of AIDS, of course. I remember thinking Johnny Rahm was SO HOT in the porn I saw him in. I heard he committed suicide in Atlanta some years back now.

I guess flames burn bright for most of us at some point in our lives, but they burn out fast too. The men of the 80s were just as hot as men today. And it's funny, but if you could be like Hiro on Heroes and go back and forth in time and freeze frame people, what was hot then would be just as hot to guys today. I'm sure of it.

First scans from my new scanner.

My friend game me a used scanner early last summer. It didn't last very long before it started making all sorts of weird sounds and, ultimately, quit altogether.

I found one in Staples that is supported by Window98 and it's one of the cheapest, most basic scanners they had (CanoScan LiDE 25), so I took the bus out and bought it yesterday. This afternoon, I installed it and even figured out how to direct the Twain (or whatever you do to it) to my image program so I could use it.

Anyway, these are the very first image scans from the new scanner. I'm sure it will get easier to use after I figure it all out and become familiar with it.

(By the way, the blond getting pleased looks just like a good friend of mine who, before he got married and moved away many years ago, I had the pleasure of pleasing. These pics bring back some nice memories.)
