I'm sure that if you're hungry enough, anything looks good. But I'm having my doubts about this breakfast sandwich.

I just can't even with the food porn celebrating gluttony.

I end up not even wanting to try a bite of it....but that is me. Maybe if we did this kind of shit at home I would lose a ton of weight.

We did a pancake and sausage community breakfast with Santa this morning and the food just made me want to hurl by the end of cooking it.

Yep, I had a similar experience two Holiday Seasons ago. Food in moderation has made me waay happier! (y)

I might eat one of the quarters, but probably not the whole thing....ok maybe half. I could do without the cinnamon and sugar, though.

For my part, they are trying WAY too hard to get noticed and free publicity. But, that is how boutique diners get business, and it's not new.

The actual combination fails on so many levels. Those are not omelettes -- they're fried eggs, and badly. No omelette pan was involved, and all you get on a griddle is fried eggs. Were you to cram a real omelette in there, it would be just as bad, as they are fluffy and not meant to be crushed between the asscheeks of some pancake smothering fold in a burrito.

Pancakes are not components of other things. They are the main attraction. Garnish them however you like, but they are not ever a filler. The McGriddles and whatever the hell Sonic was selling were just sad attempts to revisit Chicken & Waffles. I never visited the first time. Don't like syrup on chicken.

Loading it all in a toritlla wrap and deep-frying it looks simply desparate. We've got it all bundled, now what? Tortillas as a breakfast food are wonderful, whether you use them as sops or containment units, but if the latter, be containing a great goddamned green chili and egg and hashbrowns medley with the meat and cheese of your choosing, not this pointless, bready misbeggoten spawn of South Dakotan starch.

Yeah, that's a no from me.

:rotflmao:

(blah, blah, blah) . . , South Dakotan starch.
To be fair, the YT video cites the diner as in Norwalk, Connecticut, but if you trace the creator's ancestry, double donuts to nothin' that they're Midwestern.

Yes I would try it. It’s a lot like a breakfast casserole that I make when the house is full

Judging from all the new video recommendations I'm receiving there is a "crazy combo" competition among café startups and small diners to get crowd-source fame by mashing food together - try breakfast/lunch/dinner together on one plate (if a plate is still acceptable).

Now I'm wondering if there really is a "dining etiquette" or "food hierarchy" - some foods and some cooking preparations don't seem to go together.

Small restaurants want to become famous with "Frankenstein Menu" selections that attract smartphone reviews. (I'm getting an upset stomach now)

I would try it, but I don't think I would like the cinnamon sugar or maple syrup on it. I tried one of the waffle doodle sandwiches at Mr. Hero and it was too sweet for me.

Yes . . . me and sugar are not on speaking terms for the moment. This Holiday Season will be quite different for me, I'm passing up the cookies too!
The only maple syrup I'm seeing this year is as gifts for friends. I'm gonna have a Sugar-Free Santa for 2024. :giggle:
