Well I will be at my job tomorrow helping out with the biggest sale in our store and I will be working with 5 different people tomorrow including my bitch manager. I nearly walked out on my shift on Wednesday when my manager and I had it out. She might do something stupid again to make me mad. That will be the time I will have to shut that store down and raise hell with her and she wouldn't have to fire me because I will quit.

Ok...so maybe that's just a dream but I hope something superstitous doesn't mess up my beautiful day. Who knows what the 13th can hold in store for me whether I have lucked out or became another unlucky victim of the 2nd day this week.
 
Nope. Not superstitious. It's just another friday to me that will come and go like any other friday.
 
My birthday is on a 13th (!)

And this thread reminds me to watch the Friday the 13th series.
 
I had not noticed up till now, but it does at least explain why I nearly tripped coming into the office this morning.
 
Just because of the superstition and the pervasive mentions of it, I TEND to notice "how" my Friday the Thirteenths go.

In general I've noticed no difference. Perhaps a slight skewing toward good days, if anything...

What is the origin of the Friday the 13th superstition?



The Knights Templar was a brotherhood in the Middle Ages. They were said to be guarding the Holy Grail and had substantial power beacause they lent money to kings and the like. Some meant they had gotten too powerful and a secret order was issued to kill them off. (Like in Star Wars ep III) This happened on Friday 13th.

Also Jesus was killed on a Friday, and there were 13 at the table for the last supper.

Friday and thirteen are just connected with bad luck it seems.
 
Not usually superstitious, but we are closing on our new house on Friday the 13th. Pray it isn't the worst mistake we ever make.
