An accident happened in my town where a trucker had a heart attack and drove his trailer into a local business. Well 1 person has died so far and 2 are in the hospital.
I'm downtown in a bar and I'm sitting next to people that are giving an explanation to this this as god's plan. I felt like I was going to shit a brick. I gave them my full /r/atheism logic and I was laughed at. That is not the bad part. The bad part is when the bartender cut me off after 1 beer since I believed there was no god.
 
I do believe in God...

And yet I cannot understand how the accident could be perceived as "God's Plan"...

That whole concept REAKS of pre-destination... :confused:

And the bartender -- What a DICK!!!

I'm in the parking lot. I was just kicked out since I was arguing with the bartender; Effing ridiculous. She was throwing me stuff about how god love's me for who I am. I rebuttled with god loves my lifestyle even though it isn't a choice?

I like the bar (best in town). I will not be needed her service in the future. Not because she's religious...because she is a looney fundie.
 
I'm over this. The owner is religious himself. Pressing this issue further will most likely result in me being banned. Screw the fundie bartender. I won't be ordering drinks from her from now on. $2 per drink tips for everyone else =D
 
The topic was kind of sensitive as it is, going on an athiest tirade was probably an insensitive move for that situation.

Not so much for 'not beliveing' would be my guess for being cut-off..


But yeah, religious people grate my nerves, but we gotta live with them -shrug-

I woulda just ordered a couple shots and let them have their little holy-jerk.
