eharmony sued for excluding gays

This give me a great idea. My brother lives in California. He's straight so I'll get him to sue Manhunt for not allowing straight people. Then, I'll just make him give me a cut of the money as a finder's fee.

This country is litigation happy. Personally, I find this suit ludicrous. I think people fail to remember that every lawsuit costs us (the taxpayers) because we pay for the court system.

actually, your brother is free to join manhunt, it's just that the services they offer isn't anything he's probably going to want.

manhunt's business is making gay sex more obtainable. if a straight man wants gay sex, then he's totally welcome.

eharmony, on the other, is in the business of selling potential relationships and that IS something that gay people want.

Leave the eHarmony, right-wing, born again fucktards to themselves. They have every right to target a certain demographic, just like JUB has a certain demographic it targets. There are plenty of other dating sites to choose from anyway.

All this lawsuit will do is put them in persecuted victim mode and rally the religious right even more against gays, lesbians and bisexuals... If that's even possible.

in a shamless attempt to keep this thread on page 1, i will now play devil's advocate here...

They have every right to target a certain demographic, just like JUB has a certain demographic it targets.

couldn't the same be said considering that this site has it's target demographic and yet, there are women and straight men who frequent and participate on this board?

Meh....

NO one is suing 'the colonel' for not selling hamburgers....If ya know what I'm saying......

Go where you want to do your business.

This is not a difficult concept.

Wow.

THAT may be the most profound thing I've ever said here.

I guess they believe that gay people are incapable of being harmonious.

I don't agree with this. they have the right to cater to whom ever they want. It's their business and if they want to lose that revenue then after all its their problem not ours. Now think about this suppose she wins what kind of service do you think we would get from them great or crappy? They would most likely do anything they can to drive us away after all they have word of mouth from all the hetrosexual matches they had made so why should they worry about us.
The one of the reasons why they are being sued is becaues they are a known dating service they are on TV and Radio because they advertise. After all when was the last time you saw a dating service that caters to gays on any of the main stream tv or radio stations?

To me the best way to fight this is with their own weapon someone start a daing site on the bases of Eharmony but instead make it open to everyone. Yes everyone even the right wing Christians. Don't worry once they click on and see the Man seeking Man or Woman seeking woman prefernce they will go run screaming fromt the room to Best Buy where they will have to buy a new computer because their old one is now filled with sin

i'm beginning to feel the same way myself. it's their revenue to lose...

except for the ad that was posted earlier in this thread, i've never seen an ad made or shown for this sort of service aimed squarely at gays. this might be a first for all i know.

the very idea that they would run to best buy for just this very reason makes me smile. :)
