Do you think, at this point, you'll be voting in the congressional election on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010?
(Poll is anonymous.)

Yes, I will vote. I think this election will be critical. I could do without some of the commercials though.

I'll be voting, but I get the feeling that no one around me really gives a shit.

The Tea Party in it's current state boils my blood. The Republican Party as a whole certainly isn't far behind. That in it's own should motivate Democrats to get to the polls as the Alternative to what is currently in place is ten times worse.

Obviously with that being said, I will be voting.

I voted no because of the way the question was asked, but I will be voting. We only have vote by mail here so I tend to vote whatever day I get my ballot.

We are all political junkies

Of course we will Vote.

Go post a similar poll in hot topics where the threads topics are Poop and the Fall TV line up, and you may get a different response...lol

Last time I voted was almost three decades ago. The lines were long and they had seperate booths for each party with too many republican and not enough democrat booths. I also got too many jury duty summonses so I gave it up after moving.

There have been some good topics in Hot Topics lately. It would be interesting to ask that question over there though.

If a moderator wants to move this thread to Hot Topics, I'm fine with that. I think the subject matter was appropriate here.

You do realize many states now use driver's license databases for picking jurors, right?

Additionally, we wouldn't want you to be put out for 2 or 3 minutes of your day to go vote. Just make sure you never, ever, complain about politicians or wanting gay rights or any other rights enacted since you didn't vote. Most of all educate yourself on the candidates and what they stand for. If you can't be arsed to take the time for that, then please do not vote. Those of us who take elections seriously don't need any more nOObs in the process.

Ditto that, though I voted yes because i will vote.

Two or three minutes?

The fastest I ever managed to vote, before Oregon went with mail-in, was half an hour. The longest was forty-five minutes.

In the big scheme of things 30 minutes every 2 or 4 years is 2 or 3 minutes.

But where I live I have never, ever, waited more than 5 minutes to walk in, get my ballot, vote, and walk out the door.

I’ve been told my autism makes me too literal. :-)

What was it like to vote in a both? I never got the chance. Which do you prefer overall?

we should just use the ballots from 2008 that had obama and mccain on the same ticket. then this tea party would only be a dog and pony show.
