Electric or blade?

Which do you shave with? I've always used an electric razor, but occasionally use a blade.

Start with an electric to get rid of the stubble; finish with a bladein the shower for a nice smooth finish.

I use a manual and I like it, but I've been thinking of switching over because blades are so damn expensive and I end up using them longer than I should.

Mmmm...nope, its soo smooth after I use it. In fact, I find the blades last longer too.

Oc course, Ishave in the shower, and use a really good conditioner for my shave cream...maybe that as somethign to do with it.

Always a blade and it delivers a face as smooth as my partner's butt. I think the secret is three fold: moisturize first, use a good gel or foam and quality blades that are changed often

I shave in the shower for a nice comfortable close cut. I HATE shaving at the sink.

Does anybody have any tips on shaving a thick beard? I can never get as close of a shave as I'd like...

I also use the Gillette Fusion. I used to use an electric razor when I only had to shave like once every two weeks. Now that I should (but usually don't) shave daily I like razors better. It wasn't in the original question, but I use the Neutragena shaving series (face wash, gel, lotion).

I use my Mach 3 Turbo and always shave in the shower. I usually wash my face and apply the shaving cream to it when wet so that allows for an even closer shave than usual. It's a ritual that I've been doing for years now. It's hard to shave outside of the shower for me.

I've never used and electric. I don't like the idea of this whirring device coming in contact with my face.
