Electronic Music Fan Anyone?

No worries! Stick with this thread and you're BOUND to fall in love with a bunch, assuming there's enough interest to keep this thread going. Literally hundreds of new tracks are released every single day, so it shouldn't be hard to keep the thread going lol

Wow, so many. It's a little overwhelming. What are the most noteworthy ones?

haha! Well the ones in the thread for starters. Perhaps I'll make a favourites list of my own.... It'll just take a couple days because I am in the midst of downloading a ton, and have a wedding to go to tomorrow, etc etc etc. lol

Hey what's up Oscar! Yeah, pretty much what PATMAN said. Just stick to it and you'll love! ..| I will keep posting old AND new tracks that I just can't stop listening to. ;) You should research on all these artists mentioned here as a start. Most of these DJs are the mainstream electronic superpowers right now!

ALL TIME FAV BY KASKADE: FALLING IN LOVE W/ BRAZIL (KASKADE MASHUP) BY: KASKADE & DEADMAU5 FEAT. HALEY

MY FAVORITE AT THE MOMENT: Gentlemen, FEDDE LE GRAND - RUNNING (FESTIVAL MIX)

GENIOUS! BT FEAT. JES - EVERY OTHER WAY (ARMIN VAN BUUREN REMIX)

OH AND PATMAN, YEAH PLEASE POST UP SONGS YOU LIKE! I'm a very curious buddy and want everyone's taste in electronic music. :)

Also, I totally agree with the Nadia Ali comment. Her voice is just perfect for any EDM songs she does. Love that Indian-ish style, if you will. LOL

Anyone going to an IDENTITY FESTIVAL near you by the way?! I'm going to be at the one at SAN DIEGO!

I'm a nerd so I'm going to share who I'm planning to see. hehe. Google ID FESTIVAL for the lineup!

ID FESTIVAL I"M GOING TO SEE:

Kaskade
Pretty Lights
The Disco Biscuits
Afrojack
Steve Aoki
MAYBE The Crystal Method
Nero
Datsik
Holy Ghost!
Booka Shade
Afrobeta
Le Castle Vania
Doorly

If you're going/went, SHARE!!!!!!!

That's a pretty sick lineup. That will be amazing!

I am in Ottawa, Canada, and on Canada Day there was a Electro music festival, and it was just a few hours long and we got Tiesto, Laidback Luke and Calvin Harris. This city has never seen anything even remotely close to that before, it was friggin AMAZING!!

It was my first time ever attending something like that, and it was easily the best party I have ever been to, bar none.
Now I want to go to Montreal next year for Bal en Blanc - it's a HUGE festival with nothing but the biggest names. And Montreal is only a 2hr drive.

Anyways, I am babbling now, because I am getting myself all riled up! lol

I will definitely make a huge post of my top favourites :) Hopefully tomorrow!

I'm really into M.I.A . Anyone else ?

Whoaaaaa that's a trip! I discovered a remix by M.I.A. the day before!! I love M.I.A. before she releases MAYA. The Paper Planes days and before were her best.

Here's an interesting fact, DIPLO from Major Lazer, produced most of her tracks back in those paper planes and before dayss. They had a relationship going on but it got bad so they're like enemies now? Nevertheless, M.I.A. definitely is someone in her own style.

Here's the remix I discovered. (You could download for for free too!)

Also another track I LOVE from M.I.A. w/ Timbaland.

Also love Galang.

WOW! WHAT AN NICE LINEUP AS WELL! Calvin Harris is literally one of my favorite DJs of ALL time. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LAIDBACK LUKE TOO! Seen him live couple times and he never seems to stop to amaze me with his DJing skills. I've been to Vancouver before to tour but never Ottawa. I'm sure that festival you went to was insane! WHOLE different level of partying no? :D Tiesto, Laidback, and Calvin. Love all 3.

Not an EDM expert but I'm definitely a fan of Thievery Corporation. This was my intro to them:

I've only really been getting into electronic music in the last yea-2 years. I like a mixture of dupstep, dnb, house, etc.

Chase and Status, mostly just the songs with Plan B though.
Nero is probably my favorite dub group. Alana has a awesome voice.
B-Complex is pretty godly.
Mt Eden is up there was well when it comes to dnb and dub.
Skream/Magnetic man.
College/Kavinsky have that 80's electro feel to them and they're both fantastic. Heard of College through that new Ryan Gosling movie trailer 'Drive'. Great stuff.
Prodigy of course.
Burial.
Example isn't electro, but 'Shot Yourself In The Foot Again' was produced by Skream. And 'Stay Awake' was produced by Nero. Good tunes if you don't mind british rap.
Katy B, she has a wonderful fucking voice and I watched her live on the Itunes festival and she carries it very well. Pretty good electro/dance/pop.

And other stuff as well. I love the stuff.

Yeah I've only heard a couple song with Katy B.
Chase & Status I know but never really got into. I hear they're legends in their style.
B-Complex, Kavinsky and Example, I will get into.

Skream is classic.
MAGNETIC MAN is SICK! Wish they had more tracks out.

Prodigy I hear is beast, but never really got into also.

I LOVE MT. EDEN DUBSTEP!

NEROO Has GOT TO BE my favorite dubstep group of the moment. They are KILLING IT right now with their productions. Skrillex is also having a big year with his clever productions.

DUBSTEP ARTISTS I ALSO LOVE:
EXCISION/DATSIK
FLUX PAVILION & DOCTOR P!!
DOORLY
RUSKO
JAKWOB
CASPA!!
ZED'S DEAD
12th Planet

Ellie Goulding - Starry Eyed (Jakwob Remix) CHOREOGRAPHY
LISTEN TO THE WHOLE SONGS ON ANOTHER YOUTUBE CLIP!
MIKE SONG FROM AMERICA'S BEST DANCE CREW - KABA MODERN!
THIS GUY IS KNOWN FOR HIS TUTTING AND ISO'S

MY FAVORITE DUBSTEP SONG: KID SISTER - PRO NAILS (RUSKO REMIX)

Natalia Kills - Wonderland (PeaceTreaty Dubstep Remix)

Oh for the raves of the early and mid 90's.

Sasha and Digweed have been my DJ's du Jour since then and I was lucky enough to see them play live when they toured for their Northern Exposure collaboration (the first one).

If you've never heard Sasha's solo act with Airdrawndagger then do yourself a favor and at least listen to Magnetic North. He's a "soundscape" artist.

Also John and Sasha's mix of Gus Gus's "Purple" on the second Northern Exposure is brilliant.

Hey! Yeah, Sasha is amazing. Funny you say that, I got into Sasha by listening to his Airdrawndagger album! :D Sasha is indeed so unique with his sounds. It's like an adventure when hearing his set, as I couldn't help but literally stay for his whole set from start to finish when I saw him live. There was never a time in his set where I said to myself, alright now let's go to another stage. He had me there the whole time. Wish I could see Digweed live too. I hear they're just indescribable when DJing together.

I wish they came to California more often. I REALLY want to see Sasha's V_rtek show. It looks too epic!

THIS is original for SURE.

So this took me longer to do than I anticipated... But yeah, here's my list of my favourites that I promised like a week ago! lol

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cr4_7ar2KMA[/ame]

Ok, I think I made this list long enough. Hope you enjoy!!! Other tracks that I already posted would also be on this list lol.

There are SOOOO many more tracks that I lovvvvve... But these are definitely the cream of the crop. ENJOY!

Also - David Guetta has always been a DJ I like, but never LOVED his stuff; it was always too pop-ish for me. Too top 40... But now he (with Afrojack) has finally released something I am loving!!

Some Youtube links for this song have been getting removed, so get in a listen ASAP:

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsRvgh9GF3Y[/ame]

Hey what's up guys! Long time! PATMAN, lovee most of those tracks too! (The track Nadia Ali, Alex Kenji - Pressure (ALESSO REMIX) is my fav of the moment!)

Also I'm COMPLETELY on the same page with you when it comes to David Guetta. I saw him live at Electric Daisy Carnival 2009 (RIGHT before he got mainstream) and he was BUMPIN!!! (Cause he played a lot of his old tracks). Right now he's more mainstream and connecting house/pop/hip-hop together and that's cool and all but he was better when he did his own thangg. Like these:

David Guetta - Love is Gone (Fred Rister & Joachim Garraud Remix)

David Guetta - The World is Mine!

ANYWAYS, I'M GOING TO IDENTITY FESTIVAL AT SAN DIEGO THIS FRIDAY! FINALLY!!!!! SO STOKED!!!! BEEN WAITING FOR WHAT SEEMS LIKE FOREVER! Hopefully I will record some stuff and share part of my experience there! :D In the mean time, check these guys out, heard this for the first time today by seeing them perform this at MTV VMA's Pre-show and I got hooked!! A little pop-ish, very nice synths and feel good music. Good blend I'd say.

haha, I was going to post again to ask how could the thread die? haha

Love both those Guetta tracks. The World is Mine was one of my original favourite songs when I REALLY started getting into electro/house music... Love it. And I love that Cobra Starship song too! In fact, it's one I never got to downloading... Think I will do that right now. LOL

And I am totally jealous of you going to that festival. Should be an amazing time... I'll be in New Orleans this weekend having some different good times for Souther Decadence haha ;)

EVERYBODY! :D I just came back from Identity Festival San Diego, and it was AMAZING! :gogirl::=D: All the artists played all the songs that I wanted to hear so I couldn't have asked for a better festival experience! Everyone had good vibes, all the stages were CRAZY! (ESPECIALLY the DIM MAK/Rockstar Stage)

This was my ID Fest schedule:

Booka Shade
The Disco Biscuits
LA Riots
Datsik
Afrojack
Steve Aoki
Pretty Lights
Kaskade

MAN! ALL the DJs that I saw played all of their hit songs and I was going NUTS! Also Afrojack, Steve Aoki, and Kaskade all played new/unreleased songs!

It was so cool cause there were also so many special appearances of the DJs at different stages! Afrojack was stuck in traffic and we were waiting for some good 20 minutes but Steve Aoki was filling in for him until he got there so it was AWESOME! Afrojack also came to the DIM MAK stage when Steve Aoki was playing. Le Castle Vania also came to the Advent Stage when LA Riots were playing. I would have to say my favorite was either Steve Aoki, Afrojack or Kaskade. I REALLY CAN'T CHOOSE!! Below are video and pictures that I took!

Here is a video that I took of Steve Aoki playing his NEW SONG WITH TIESTO! at the DIM MAK/Rockstar stage. (Sorry for the quality; it's from my Android).
