Elizabeth Edwards Calls Ann Coulter

Can anyone imagine the pathos of someone who's life is so miserable that the only way that they can make a living is by whoring their humanity, by making light of the losses and tradedies of others?

If you notice, Coulter will usually respond to criticism by diverting to another issue or resorting to personal attacks and character assassination. She will also insist that WMD was found in Iraq and Saddam was supporting Al Queda even though she must know that neither is true. Her method of argument is that of a six year old, it is kids stuff.

I realize that Coulter makes a lot of money doing this, but what about the folks that buy her books? There are many people that agree with Coulter on various subjects, but it is her style that her audience likes. What psychological need does Coulter fill for these people? How disturbed, how insecure, how immature does someone have to be to crave the venom that this harpy spews?

Even before the call from Elizabeth Edwards Ann Coulter was spouting assinine rhetoric. She said that the idea that we went to Iraq under the premise that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction was a "lie perpertrated by liberals" that we went there because "he was a bad guy." Don't I remember Colin Powell going before Congress to testify about WMD. Did the liberals somehow create that image digitally? I think the woman is crazy and maybe even a little evil.

Matthews, like O'Reilly, is not a journalist, he is a showman. He just isn't quite as good at it as OReilly is, and he needs ratings, and confrontation helps ratings.

I think someone on Matthews' staff called Mrs Edwards, and set up that call. Mrs Edwards, who should have known to take the moral high ground and say nothing, took the bait, and the call.

After the confrontation, everybody wins -

Coulter sells more books, Matthews gets ratings, and Mrs. Edwards feels vindicated.

Mrs. Edwards is a classy gal and has valid points about all the bullshit in politics. Coulter is merely an idiotic asshole. Coulter thinks the word "faggot" is a funny "school yard" word. Well Ann, I think the word "cunt" is funny and you are one of the biggest /smelliest ones around.

Other posters have mentioned this and I agree -- I do wonder about people who read her column and buy her books. What sort of person, what sort of morally challenged creature would enrich that little twat?

I saw the clip of this on Youtube and I don't think Elizabeth sounded weak at all. She's a very charming and classy lady and she does'nt need to stoop so low on Mann Coulter's level. I could see Mann almost on the verge of squirming because she was being called out for her personal attacks by the wife of her target. It was oh so fun to see a majority of that audience clappping in agreement with Elizabeth, also funny cuz there was a douche there with a "Marry me Ann" sign.
