Is there a substitute? It's $14 a bottle. If I were to continue bottoming, that's just too much.

You don't need Fleet enemas to clean yourself just plain water will do the trick or a liter/quart of water with a 1/2 teaspoon of salt will approximate normal saline you can put it in an enema bag or a turkey baster type of bulb syringe (aka tomy syringe) attached to a rectal tube would work.

disposable enemas are like 3 bucks for 2. I buy the Target brand. I also just reuse the bottle. I use plane old tap water. It works just fine.

Steven.

Bulbs is also manufactured for that purpose. Google: enema bulb, and you will find a variety for sale at various prices.

And the chemicals aren't good for you. My understanding is that salt water to approximate normal body fluids is better than tap water, but I'm not sure about that point. Most people use too much water. A small bit of water in the little bulb is often all you need for freshening up if you've recently had a proper bowel movement, and healthier than doing a deeper cleaning too often.

What are you buying that cost $14?

A Fleet enema is around two dollars. You can buy the three pack for less per bottle. When you are ready to use them, pour the liquid that come in them out and use tap water.

You can use an enema bag or bulb also. Be sure to wash them out before using. You don't want to inject any mold or mildew into your ass.
