I have to agree. Generally we as a race aren't exactly good looking. Of course there are exceptions. Generally, Mainland European men are more good looking as a race but of course there are some ugly ones too!

It's sort of like the rule/exception to the rule thing.

Looking back on all the English movie stars, yeah most of them are ugly i have to say. !oops!

Tesla I gotta disagree with your friend. Look at Gerard Butler..Jason Statham for instance. They are fine specimen and nobody can deny that. I seriously doubt your friend is even a gay.
 
The whole thing sounds like a shit stir and if you do have such a 'friend'I don't know how many englishmen/brits he has met' around the mediterranean' in shall we say Algeria/Libya/Egypt/Tunisia/Syria/Lebanon/Israel/Turkey etc.
