Enrique Iglesias & Ciara???

He's done songs with Whitney, Kelis, Ciara shouldn't be a surprise, she makes more sense seeing as how neither of them can sing. The first two I mentioned outsing him by a Mississippi mile.

I like his song with Kelis even though I can't stand Kelis.

I don't really like this one though. I think it's too dramatic and poppyish. Sounds like it was meant for 02 or 01.

They can sing, we all can sing but do they sound good? Now that's a whole different story :(

Ciara can't sing, I don't think I've heard a single live on-pitch performance from her ever. Kelis has a BRILLIANT contralto that's buried underneath trite hip-hop bullshit tracks.

Here's a throwback of her singing FOR REAL. A jazzed up version of "Get Along With You." Very throaty and robust, as operatic as blues greats like Bessie Smith and Odetta. She's definitely channeling Nina Simone on this one with that wobbly vibrato.

^She still sucks but I think somewhere between the first and second album she took lessons because she improved....barely. Still sucks though, she needs to call that teacher back up.

No, we all can't sing.

I've seen a couple of decent performances of Promise from Ci-ci.

Is there a way to post the video again? It's not available anymore. I must admit, I have been out of the loop. I completely missed when Enrique collaborated with Kelis and I had not even heard of this newest collaboration until now.

Yes we all can sing, and we do it all the time to our favorite songs, but most of us don't sing well

That's cute, but no. There's a physiological difference between "singing in the car" and what singers do. Ciara cannot sing very well; she can sing well enough to put out an album, with studio corrections not far behind, but not live. What people do in their cars is not singing.

but bottom line it's still called singing, I think you know where I'm getting at and I know where your getting at, so were gonna leave it at that.

It's not singing; it's producing an off-key sound. Unless one is a complete mute, anyone can produce a sound. Everyone cannot sing, and a vocal coach/teacher would say the same thing I am saying to you.

You're trying to intertwine connotative and denotative definitions of a word. In other words, how you define singing vs. what singing is.

Well, I actually saw her perform live in person the song "My Love" off her last album "The Evolution" and she was hold a low B thoughout the majority of the song. I used to think Ciara was going to be an one-hit wonder with a psuedo voice (like Rihanna), but apparently the voice lessons has paid off because it left we quite impressed with her limited vocal range.

A low B relative to her voice or on a standard piano? The reason I am asking is if it is the latter, she has a solid amount of range. Otherwise, you're right, she is limited. Sorry, I just want to clarify as I've heard people discuss them differently.

It's relative is her voice.

Oh please, I've heard worse. I can tolerate her voice.

The song is decent, I'm not sure about the video... but they at least look good together.
