I purchased an Epson Artisan 800 Multifunction printer yesterday. It is the longest 24 hours I have experienced in a while.

First they advertise 2-year toll-free support. Bullshit, I had to call their California number and pay long distance for a 45 minute call.

They claim it is Mac friendly........ Not. I could not print pictures from my iPhoto, and they finally realized they do not have drivers to support Safari Leopard.

Don't they keep up with technology?

I am returning it today.... what to buy now?

I have an HP now and it is terrible.

I just ordered a Canon MX980 from Apple. It will be here next wednesday

thanks for the posts everybody

Received the Canon printer.

It is great. Even does duplex scanning and printing.

I recently bought the Epson Stylus Photo TX800FW and it is fantastic! I have used a Canon printer for the last five years, but this multifunction is easier to use, gives me more options (in a way that's easy for me to understand), and the support has been exceptional! :D I'm not in the US, but in Western Australia, and the norm here is for support personnel to speak with complete abruptness and intolerance of people like me with no real understanding of technology. Lately, I've been really lucky with my computer stuff - except for the Nokia phone I just bought...#-o

I have a HP5610 multi. Colour sux. Ink is costly. U need asian fingers to install cartridges. Installed 10.6 today and the OS couldn't find drivers for it. I did. So it works as badly as ever. I was going to get Epson Artisan 800. Dynk, what doesn't work on it? I've had 2 Epsons and they were fantastic.
