Some of the documents include copies of victims' drivers licenses. Some of the documents have abusers' names redacted but the women's names aren't redacted.

A significant part of the problem is that the DOJ has fired or ran off thousands of experienced attorneys. If there were a judge overseeing this effort instead of incompetent political hacks determined to protect Trump, this would have never been acceptable.

Through a spokeswoman, Julie Wood, on Tuesday, Mr. Farkas addressed his association with Mr. Epstein publicly for the first time. He said the relationship was always entirely a business one. “He regrets their association and condemns Epstein’s crimes,” Ms. Wood added.

On one occasion in December 2012, Epstein invited Lutnick to his private island in the Caribbean for lunch, according to documents released on Friday show. Lutnick’s wife, Allison Lutnick, enthusiastically accepted the invitation and said they would arrive on a yacht with their children. On another occasion in 2011, the two men had drinks, according to a schedule shared with Epstein.

In one exchange, Tisch wrote to Epstein that he had lunch with one of Epstein’s assistant’s friends — “very sweet girl” — and asked if the financier knew anything about her.

“no, but i will ask,” said Epstein, before inquiring if Tisch had contacted another woman, crudely describing her physical features.

In another email exchange, Tisch asked Epstein, “Is there somebody in NY you want me to meet?” Epstein’s reply was redacted, but in a later email he said “tahitian speaks mostly french, exotic.”

“Working girl?” asked Tisch in a response similar to characterizations the two appeared to use in describing women, including in one email where Tisch asks “pro or civilian?”

Some of the reporters and victims have reported that the documents are searchable and the victim's real names can be searched to locate specific documents.

When many of these women testified against Ghislaine Maxwell, they did interviews with the prosecuting attorneys where they revealed personal details about their lives, their sexual history and their psychiatric treatments. This is done in criminal cases in order for the prosecuting attorneys to prepare for any attacks on witness credibility. For example, if the witness has been committed to an inpatient psychiatric facility, the defense attorney might try to discredit a prosecution witness by bring up her psychological health.

The text of the interviews was released by the DOJ with the women's real names, not the aliases that were used in the Maxwell trial.

Since the file is searchable and the DOJ has had at least 2 months to perfect the searches, it seems intentional that they didn't bother to confirm that none of the documents had the victims' real names.
