Epstein, Epstein, Epstein . . . but don't give up

I am not surprised that all the political media figures are throwing in the towel and finally admitting what we knew all along.

There will be zero real accountability for any of the rich and powerful.

Some of them are pulling back for a bit from the public eye...but in reality, even for those like Andrew, it is all just a slap on the wrist.

The public will never know what the DoJ has kept back or destroyed.

The Dems won't do anything with it and the REpubs want it over and done with before the elections.

Remember in the early days of the latest Trump Reich, Trump "settled" with several big DC law firms to keep them from opposing him in exchange for retaining their security clearances?

Brad Karp is the Chair of one of those law firms, Paul Weiss, that signed one of those letters of agreement with Trump:

Paul Weiss law firm chair Brad Karp told Jeffrey Epstein ‘You’re amazing’

Newly released documents detail a years-long relationship between convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and Brad Karp, the chairman of powerhouse New York law firm Paul Weiss.

The disturbing email and text message correspondence was part of roughly 3 million documents released by the Department of Justice on Friday, showing that the disgraced financier sought to ingratiate himself with one of Wall Street’s most influential legal figures.

In April 2019, just three months before his arrest on federal child sex trafficking charges, Epstein enlisted former White House strategist Steve Bannon to pull strings to get Karp into the ultra-exclusive Augusta Golf Club in Georgia, the Financial Times reported Sunday.

Steve Bannon's name always seems to show up in these Epstein stories.

It was likely the only way that Bannon could get sex. Even adult hookers likely take one look and say 'no thanks'.

And who is surprised that titans like Karp would be in the files. All these limp dicked guys looking for something to make them hard again were getting fresh young girls by the dozens through the Epstein-Trump Lolita Express.

It is funny how this keeps happening.

Brad Karp has resigned as chair of law firm Paul Weiss.

The final nail in Mr Karp's coffin was that the letters, written after Epstein's guilty plea, that advised Epstein on how to fight civil lawsuits from the victims of Epstein's trafficking. Mr Karp, in essence said that Epstein should use the defense that the women "allowed" Epstein to abuse them in order to blackmail Epstein. Mr Karp is still a partner and still receives a salary from the law firm and he retains his law license.

Paul Weiss was in the news last year when they signed an agreement with Trump to do pro bono work for clients sympathetic to Trump's agenda.

One down... now Congress needs to call him to testify about his deal with Trump.

Brad Karp resigns as chair of Paul, Weiss amid Epstein fallout

The lawyer has come under fire for a series of email exchanges he had with Epstein, after the sex offender’s first stint in prison.

Brad Karp, the longtime chair of one of the nation’s premier law firms, has resigned from Paul, Weiss amid backlash over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, the latest development for top officials whose relationship with the late sex offender were uncovered in newly released Department of Justice files.

wow. I suspect that this will gut the firm...but those who remain will always have the stink of him around them because everyone will think they are just the same as he was.

The enabling and cover-up of the crimes continues... did I miss the part where they did an investigation before they decided to not charge any of the "partiers"?

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche attempted to downplay damning images showing famous, rich and powerful men partying with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in the latest Department of Justice drop.

Attorney General Pam Bondi's No. 2 insisted it's 'not a crime to party' with Epstein, and that no prosecutions could occur unless there's definitive evidence of illegal activity.

'Unfortunately photos can't speak. So we need witnesses,' Blanche told Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Monday night.

He dismissed the potential that any of the men pictured will face the music for allegedly engaging in illegal acts. Notably, President Donald Trump is one of those powerful men mentioned in the files and previously pictured in social settings with Epstein.

Of course, this is the same DOJ that let Matt Gaetz get away with paying minors for sex and transporting them across State lines...

So one of the dirtiest lynchpins in the whole Epstein+Trump trafficking ring has been found dead in his prison cell.

I am surprised the ring allowed him to live this long actually.

One note- he died in Feb, 2022.

Brunel was in some of the pictures with Scott Ratner (the director of the Melania documentary) that are in the Epstein files. It's the same scummy names over and over and over.

One of the reporters reviewing the Epstein file noticed that the word don't had been redacted from the middle of sentences. His theory is that the word had been spelled without the apostrophe (i.e. "dont") and that the DOJ's automated redaction software read it as a reference to DONald Trump.

Also rumored this morning: the Superbowl will feature an ad from the Epstein survivors that calls out Pam Bondi by name for covering up the names of the rapists and predators in the Epstein files.

Some of the details coming out about Epstein's money-laundering connections sound more like an episode of X-Files or Homeland.

Based on recent investigations and released documents, there are direct and indirect connections between the networks of Jeffrey Epstein and the Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI), often placing them in the same context of intelligence operations, money laundering, and high-level, shadowy financial dealings.

Here are the key findings linking Epstein to the legacy or operations of BCCI:

  • Arms Trafficking and Money Laundering Channels: Reports indicate that the infrastructure used for illegal arms trafficking and money laundering in the Iran-Contra affair—which relied on BCCI for banking—shares overlaps with the financial network that Epstein operated later. The Iran-Contra era involved using BCCI to move money for weapon sales, a system that facilitated similar, often illicit, financial maneuvers.
  • The "October Surprise" and Intelligence Context: The investigation into Epstein has brought up connections to the same intelligence networks, specifically the CIA and foreign intelligence, that were implicated in the BCCI scandal.
  • Similar Financial Networks: Some analysis has linked the methods and figures involved in the BCCI scandal—such as Ghaith Pharaon—to the broader, secretive financial web that eventually included Epstein’s activities, often involving offshore, hidden accounts.
  • Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI) and Epstein Investigation: In the early 1990s, when investigations into BCCI were at their peak, some of the same actors and financial mechanisms were being scrutinized that later appeared in investigations into Epstein's own financial dealings.
In essence, research suggests that the illicit financial and intelligence networks that defined the BCCI scandal in the 1980s and early 1990s served as a precursor or parallel structure to the network Jeffrey Epstein utilized to build his own fortune and web of influence.

Jesus Christ on a pogo stick. Is there anyone in the Trump orbit who wasn't in the Epstein files?

One of the great mysteries of the Trump appointees is the Secretary of the Navy. A man named John Phelan, of Florida was nominated to be SecNavy, even though he had no military background and other than he owned a home in Palm Beach that has a swimming pool, he seemed to lack any nautical knowledge. Phelan's claim to fame is that he manages the personal finances of Michael Dell, the Texas computer billionaire. Phelan also apparently has a rather large art collection. John Phelan appears on the flight manifests transiting Epstein Island. The Senate confirmed Phelan 62-30.

Trump nominated Benjamin Black to another government position. He was confirmed by the Senate 51-47. Ben Black and his father, Leon Black, appear in the Epstein files. Leon Black is another billionaire, once the chair of Museum of Modern Art in NYC, he resigned his position with MoMA after it was disclosed that Leon Black had paid Epstein $158 million and has extensive financial dealings with Epstein.

Among those named in the latest tranche are Secretary of the Navy John Phelan and Ben Black, Trump’s personal pick to lead the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation.
