Erykah Badu will release her sixth studio album, "New Amerykah, Part II: Return of the Ankh," on Feb. 23, 2010 on Universal Motown. The 38-year-old Dallas, Texas, born singer says the set is called "Part II" because unlike 2008's more conscious-driven "New Amerykah Part I: 4th World War," she is "more free and full of life" this time around.

Isn't she a vegan gay-hater?

2010 will be the year of the female singer its seems more so then 2009..Sade,Toni Braxton,Erykah Badu all in Feb with new albums and Alicia Keys will be out promoting her album. I really do hope Toni can get another real hit next year. I also hope my #1 fav "Queen"Aretha will actually put out the album she has been talking about for oh 5 years now.

Hope she comes to Miami again. She performs here on a frequent basis.

Erykah Badu is talking about her new album in this clip, so that just got me hyped.:gogirl:

I like the video for the song "Honey" from the last album.

Didn't Erykah recently birth her third baby? Being pregnant must be her muse. Or, maybe making music is her aphrodisiac.

Too many of my favorites coming out with new music.

Ah, Ms. Badu is coming back. I still enjoy her original stuff like "On & On" and "Bag Lady" (the uptempo version).

This was an instant classic upon release:

Love of My Life and Bag Lady are two of my favorites from Erykah. Not crazy about LOML video though.

I wanna get excited about this but I can't because her last couple of albums have been too experimental for my taste.

I like to be challenged a little. If not i'd be listening to TOP 40 which is mostly crap.

Anyone catch her at the House of Blues in West Hollywood on NYE?

From what I heard, can't say that I like Jump up in the air and stay there (isn't there suppose to be like 10 rappers on that track? If Jay Electronica is on it perhaps it won't be so bad), but I'm so eager to hear the rest of the album.

New Amerykah was a great album. I never understood why many didn't take to it. The tracks produced by Madllb and Sa Ra, the Georgia Ann Muldrow duet, the cover of RAMP's American Promise and the Dilla tribute are awesome!

Anyways, can't wait til February!
