I dont understand the desire to eat these slimy things---unless you live in a country where everyone is starving---just because its alive doesnt mean you have to eat it. In the end you are just tasting garlic butter.

I worked at well known restaurant that served a lot of escargot. And right out of the can they came. We rolled them around in our delish Scampi sauce that had a bit of sherry added and under the broiler they went with a fine dusting of breadcrumbs. Patrons couldn't get enough.Those Americans :lol: I prefer Shrimp in my Scampi sauce. :)

If not over seasoned, they have a pleasant woodsy/mushroom flavour.

I've had them many times, but I would never go through the bother of prepping them.
