Ethnicity and body hair

Philip was not murdered by a 13 year old pederasty partner. If he had there would be no controversy or conflicting theories about the assassin's motives. It was an adult male. Make more things up out of thin air.

But why are you even bringing up Phillip since he was never renowned for his beauty?

The ones that I posted are actual symbols of beauty/sex symbols. You're the one making stuff up.

What do you mean "why didn't I specify?" How much more specific did I need to be when I said "I doubt widescale male body shaving goes back more than two or three decades?"

You just said shaving not facial or body shaving and then when I post facts you twist your words as always.

^Well, since the thread is about body-hair, and the face is part of the body, last time i looked. Philip was sporting "body-hair", perhaps that is why buzzer thought it was an appropriate response.

Actually, re-read buzzer's post, he specifically said body.

Says who? You? Everything we discuss, you merely dismiss everything with body or facial hair as "not being intended for beauty" and everything smooth as "intended for beauty." You're just fixing goalposts.

Again since when was Phillip, the one eyed middle aged (during the time of that statue) renowned for his beauty?

Actually you re-read the whole convo again because I posted facts about body hair shaving.

He had like 8 wives and tons of lovers. He had something going for him. Maybe the beard.

Yes, you posted a list of functional reasons for hair removal in the ancient world, and as I pointed out, there were many more functions of hair, like status markers. Nothing you listed had anything to do with proving you are the universal authority on aesthetics or what all ancient people considered beautiful. You pull that entirely out of your rearside.

:##: Every king (rich and powerful or just the fact that they were male) had many wives and countless mistresses/concubines. You know it woman had no little to no choice based on looks. Even now do find Hugh Hefner or the Arab princes attractive?

I posted the link for shaving because you said there was no shaving before a few decades. I never said they shaved for aesthetic purposes. I posted sex symbols from the past and present and other cultures. But your smart ass as always keep ignoring it.

Again Carey, wanting your preference to be the universal. Seems difficult for you to accept that there are plenty of people with a variety of tastes.

Here is the thing, the thread is about "Ethnicity and body hair, not about your standard of beauty.
That a man must have.

When did I ever say people don't have or can't have varied taste?

Read the OP again. Also why are you telling that only to me? Because xbuzzerz shares your taste for hairy men?

I know I said we should let this thread die but since it's still active

this just for controversy

Just when did i state my taste was for hairy men?
My taste is very "eclectic", myself and my fella are both smooth, shot down in flames much?

:bartshock Tom Ford has come to haunt me even on this site. That no talented humourless pompous Anna Wintour minion whose idea of fashion for men is limited to a suit and suit only.

Thankfully they got rid of him from Gucci!

Well if I were Carey I could simply say he were and insist it's fact because I say so.

I posted the link for shaving because you said there was no shaving before a few decades. I never said they shaved for aesthetic purposes.

And since the whole discussions has been about you insisting that your opinion on male beauty represents the dominant totality of all human opinion including since the ancient era, one might think you a bit thick for thinking I was speaking of anything else when I talked about the modern trend of aesthetic body shaving. You were the one claiming that's always been the dominant preference. If that's true, you not only haven't proven that it is, but you can't, since you can't go back and ask classical Greeks what they thought about a statue made by a Renaissance artists a millenium after they lived, and it wouldn't explain why shaving of any sort body or facial tended to fall along functional or status or cultural lines in the ancient world.

Function =/= aesthetics.

When did I ever say people don't have or can't have varied taste?

Well let's see, the entire thread you said it's "fact" that the majority of all humans ever born prefer your modern metrosexual cleanshaven bodywaxed smooth look, and that people who want something different are into "apes."

And this just because I'm an attention whore
