Re: Eurovision

It's even worse now that he's changed it and stuck in electric voices and such. Bad Pete Waterman, bad!

Re: Eurovision

I ALWAYS watch the Eurovision Song Contest! (!)

So does my dad! And we each phone in our votes for winners! :D

What's not to like? There's always an eclectic mix of the good, the awful, the funny, the outrageous, and the downright bizarre. (*S*)

Finals on Saturday! Bring it on! --%--

Re: Eurovision

I heard about it, but haven't sought to watch it. If one does, it'll be for the "null point" winner. ;)

Q: 38 secs, the man is full of himself. I hope he wins. It might set his country back years to host it next time. :( BTW, his entourage look like they've just stepped out of a Bel Ami vid.

Re: Eurovision

I watched the second semi-final yesterday but I was disappointed as always. I have no idea why I have to tune in every year LOL

The guy from Israel was cute but his song sucked. It's inexplicable why he made it to the final on Saturday. I liked the crazy guys from Lithuania but they didn't make it.

For the first time in years I think Germany's got a chance. I'm usually ashamed of our contribution, but "Satellite" is kinda cool. My faves are Turkey, France and Ireland.

Re: Eurovision

I think we regard it as a bit of a bad joke that Europe plays on itself as a reminder that they are as culturally bankrupt these days as North America.

Re: Eurovision

I've watched the eurovision every year since i was around 7. I lost faith in it over the last few years because (as a result of 'bloc voting' and continually fielding shit songs) Ireland never seemed to get past the semi finals. We're through this year though with a very oldfashioned song from former winner, Niamh Kavanagh. I'm excited already.

Ireland has a good chance, got my vote last night, pleased to Ireland in the final

Re: Eurovision

Please vote for Lena from Germany. She is cool and I like her song.

Re: Eurovision

My favorite for the year....:) I like olived skinned men who move in 'sync on lyrics that sound obscure to me

They should lose the leather jackets for the finals though

wow,what a bunch of hot guys :)

i like the song :=D:

Re: Eurovision

I don't watch it much, I did when I was younger. That being said, I have Alexander Rybak's Fairytale (last years winner) on my Ipod ^^

Re: Eurovision

Do we even have access to this in the US? The only reason I know about it is because a blog from Britain that I used to listen to went into high gear during this contest.

Re: Eurovision

I'm not from Europe but I love Eurovision.... So so excited for the final tonight...
my favorites are Romania, Armenia, Iceland, Moldova and Azerbaijan...
I also loved Slovakia and Croatia... too bad they couldn't make it....

Re: Eurovision

My mom, who is Greek, is watching it...here in the states. We used to live in Spain, when I was little...my dad was stationed there. My mom became friends with this Spanish woman, who had a son named Daniel. I still remember him. Anyway, he's a contestant on Eurovision for Spain!! How cool is that?

Re: Eurovision

I so hope our entry won't be among the last ten or whatever. "Satellite" is just stuck in my head, so I can't stop humming it.

Oh, and btw, I think you can also see it as live stream on www.eurovision.tv, but I don't know if it works for non-Europeans. ;)

Re: Eurovision

I like it, and the UK entry is quite cool (IMO), and definitely hot. Though he, probably, won't win (everyone seems to vote for their neighbours).

I really liked some of Greece's entries from previous years:

The Norway winner last year was really good as well:

Iceland's entry was pretty good as well:

A lot of the songs that are played are really cool, and some of them are kind of ..
