THE Administrator is usually the top dog.
The hierarchy here is a bit different than most other bulletin board sites.

I could surely name some NON mod material....... ](*,)

Girl.
I feel like dancing now.

At the site I mod the administrator IS the owner........

NAMES, TITLES and privileges can be changed.

That's fine but Staff can actually ban admins. You knew that right? Enough complaints about an Admin can mean that Admin is banned. I reported one today TO STAFF. His name starts with a C. REPORTED TO STAFF (who btw OWN the site).

Okay here we go!

Moderators are nominated from the General Membership by Moderators and Admin.

Admin are Moderators with a few additional powers, and usually with the trust of the site owners, and the support of their fellow Mods that collectively they'll make a decision that's in the best interest of everyone involved.

Admin are usually appointed from the Mod Team by the owners of the Website, sometimes with input from the Staff.

The Staff are actually paid employees, and tend to defer to whatever consensus that the Mod/Admin Team come up with.

Mod Tower is pretty Democratic in that "majority" and not "ownership" usually rules.

And since Mod Tower is comprised of a multitude of individuals from all over the world; different cultures, politics, religions, ages, and sexual orientations, it helps to make JUB even more of a kick ass place to be a member of and to volunteer for.

The owners of JUB also recognize that value, and the sponsors who purchase advertising here appreciate the uniqueness that being a JUBber offers.

Moderators and Admin are held to a higher standard, because we are the avatars of JUB.

I love and respect everyone that I've had the chance to serve with back and Mod Tower.

But it's you, and everyone else who posts throughout the various Forums of JUB that make this place the community that it is. (*8*)

We're never going to make everyone happy.

But on days like today, it's fun for us to cut loose a little bit and have some fun with those who we know will appreciate what what we all try to do here everyday and I honestly don't see where any harm has been created. :)

FWIW, there's no such thing as "rogue" Moderators. [-X

Not if we want to remain members of JUB. ..|

As for one of our newest members back here in Mod Tower; The System?

He's only slightly more educated than a spambot, as its infatuation with Lady GaGa clearly demonstrates.

Corny claims to have it on a short leash, but we've all seen 2001: A Space Odyssey haven't we?

:D

Oh please [-X. If mods have such high hierarchy, there will be no flammers or trolls around to commit direct suicide.

I propose changing EVERYONE's name into the same name and erase their avatars for a day, so no one knows who were posting or replying...because they're all the same person!

That's nice but until the OWNERS of the site confirm that it's just your opinion. Seth and JD OWN this site NOT you.

But, who's to say that these very ideas weren't discussed with Seth, JD and Mark? I seriously doubt they were out of the loop on what was going to happen, or out of the loop about what the participants (including the mod you quoted) thought about how April Fool's would unfold in here.

There's some naysayers, but I found it to be a lot of fun. No animals were harmed in the making of this film.

I have a question....

Does JUB have a central office? Is there a headquarters, or some building somewhere that JUB owns?

Do all the mods and staff work from home, all the time? Do they ever have to attend meetings?

Erm, make that four questions.

Well either way its been alot of fun. I nearly spit out my water when I saw I was made a mod. I mean lets face it. Me a mod? That had to be a joke, lol.

cgymike himself is a bit out of the loop since JD and Seth no longer own JUB, nor does anyone else of the staff except Mark. AndyMike still works for Mark and you can be sure that JD and Seth talk with Mark a lot.
Anyway, both AndyMike and Mark knew what was coming. Probably even most members knew that something was coming.

There's always a lot of them .. whether it's just some other avatars for Halloween or just some silliness for April 1st. Usually they cry the loudest, but seldom they are the majority. Something you always have to remind yourself of, because all that you get all day here is bitching, bitching, bitching ;)

Corny is awake & back online...

...soon, I suspect. ;)

April fool's day is probably the biggest holiday on JUB. We did the clown avatars last year and cows the year before.

This was actually the most elaborate undertaking yet by the system. We hope it was as much fun for you all, as it was for us to watch.

Sometimes chaos can be fun!
