Hey, if anyone is in the St. Louis area, they are looking for extras in a movie that stars Tim Robbins, Rachel McAdams, and some other famous peeps.

They pay shit per hour plus overtime!! ..|

I was in Attention Span, an independent movie that made some film festivals. The main reason I was in it (I think) was that they wanted to use my house as a set. I went to the premier at the Silent Movie Theater on Fairfax in Hollywood, and it was fun to talk with the audience afterwards. As it turned out, I was the comic relief, as most of the movie was a tense mystery/melodrama. I have three scenes with lines, and so I was not really an extra, since I'm in the credit.

My understanding is that it's incredibly boring thing to do, plus you get treated like cattle and get bad poorly. ..|

Really? People get paid? I didn't. :) It was a cheap-y independent film, so the extras were volunteers. I didn't mind - I did it for fun.

My bf was in welcome to collinwood. he's in the backround at the dance. he said you don't get paid and you wait around forever. he finally left. they did hand pick him for that scene. but my bf is so funny. if that was me i would tell people or at least own the film. he doesn't care nor does he own the film. he was almost is a new movie with that guy who was venom in spider-man(forgot his name) and that 70's show. my bf is a visual manager for Guess? here in phoenix and they were filming at his mall and the light fixtures in his stores are from the 80'a and the movie is set in the 80's I think. not clear on that. anyway, guess that the guy is suppose to work at Suncoast in the movie. but they didn't use my bf's store after all cause the mall has a suncoast.

They always have casting calls for movies here in Baltimoe and DC and they do pay, some pay good money depending on the movie company.

My friend's brother was in the Nicolas Cage movie "Windtalkers"...

... he died 17 times in it.
