The hills have eyes was thoroughly disturbing and disgusting

Many horror films also, in their zeal to offer fresh thrills, revolt me..
It has been ages since I have watched a horror movie. The closest that I come to watching a horror movie would be the 50s/60s B movies with really bad special effects (some of you may remember Mystery Science Theater from a couple of years ago - those kinds of movies). I can't deal with all of the blood and all I can picture are some lunatics who actually come close to some stuff you see in these movies.

Most movies which deal with man's inhumanity to man..
Murder, inhuman cruelty and torture, particularly of children, and those who are helpless, bother me the most.
Anything to do with the wars (esp. Holocaust) is a big no for me. I watched about 15 minutes of Shindler's list and was in tears. I won't go anywhere near any movie regarding "man's inhumanity to any living thing". Also, any extinction of tribes/species related movies (i.e. some specials on the discovery channel). I feel so helpless :( and so angry :grrr: that gov'ts allow this to happen (i.e. the current situation in Darfur). I'm sure there will be plenty of movies about it at some point.

I guess I may be a little more sensitive than most people, but i guess I can't help it.

Animal cruelty. I can't stand watching a movie where an animal is killed or totured. It just bothers me too much.

Terminator also disturbed me as a child, especially more as computers are everywhere today, along with viruses and artificial intelligence which are being perfected.

The Last House on the Left... hard to believe that was Wes Craven. This is just a rape/ snuff film and there ain't no Freddy Kruger in it.

Didn't care much for Bent where the SS Nazi's force the gay dude to beat the shit out of his friend to prove he isn't gay then make him have sex with a woman on the train to prove he isn't gay though they already know he is.
In fact I won't watch Bent again.

Another Nazi/jew movie I'll avoid is The gray matter.

I Actually Watched "Schindlers List" Last Night For The Very First Time, And me Being Half Jewish! (My Dads Puerto Rican, And My Mom's A German Jew) I Thoght it Was one Of The Best Movies i have Ever Seen, Because it Was So REAL, its actually the first time i cried during a movie! My Great Grandpa And Grandma, and Grandma, and great aunts and uncles, could of been sent to A Camp, but they all moved to America in 1936, I Think Everybody Needs To Watch It At Least Once

Blood and gore appall me so I never sit through movies with those two items featured on the menu

Yea, the Holocaust.

I haven't seen Schindler's List or Life is Beautiful. I really can't bear to see the latter especially.

Both of those films were excellent. I would highly recommend seeing both of them. For Life is Beautiful, only see the original Italian version with the english subtitles. The English version does not do it justice...in fact...they should destroy all of the English versions. Both of those films are works of art that bring out human emotion. 'The Pianist' is also a good film that also took place during the Holocaust.

What I can't stand is gratuitous violence (example: platoon) and bad writing (example: most blockbuster films.....more proof that I can't relate to main stream America). I'm also not into big explosions, and mass destruction. An excellent independent film is more my cup of tea.

Lots of things.

Violence, for one thing -- it just bores me. Tonight I tried watching Blood Diamonds, with L diCaprio, and got so bored after 30 minutes I had to put something else on.

Anything that hurts children or animals is absolutely out.
