Ever been to a Disney theme park?

I've been to Disneyland/DCA a few times and loved it. Never made it to Disney World and it seems not possible anymore.

Disneyland in the mid 80's. It was fun.

Disneyworld five times; first time was in '90, visited with my little brother who was getting out of boot camp--when the Navy still did that in Orlando. It was fun.

Then once with a friend from Colorado in like '92. It was fun.

Then once with the Partner in like '94. It was OK, he had more fun drinking at a bar in Orlando which should have told me something back then.

Then once with the OTHER brother, Mom and her then-husband. It was pretty fun except the brother was such a pothead he had no stamina; he crapped out by noon and we had to abort the visit in the middle of the afternoon. Had dinner reservations at a nice restaurant (Akershus if memory serves) in Epcot but we were able to cancel.

Then a solo trip two years ago. I had a really nice time until the last day, when my Plane Sickness kicked in--on the way there I heard someone about three rows in front of me coughing up a lung or something and of course I caught it.

The solo trip was the best--except for the sick part--could do what I wanted when I wanted, and the place isn't just rides and carnival food. I had a 'deconstructed Reuben' sandwich for dinner one evening at Epcot it was amazing and only $5.

I did not buy the ears, although I did consider it.

Yes. Been to both, but at this point not really interested in ever going again.

Now that you all hate Disneyland Im afraid to respond.

What can I say.....^

It was a blast.

A number of times - but not in recent years.

Costs and lines have gotten out of control.

But a friend of mine - he and his wife LOVE Disney parks. They have annual passes for Disneyland and then every third year spend a week at Disney World.

That's one of the reasons I'd never go. It's for children for Christ's sake. I can't help thinking that adults who enjoy Mickey Mouse's parade and all the rest of the Disney nonsense are (to be polite) slightly odd.

My spouce and I lived in Burbank California for4 year he worked at Waltr Disney Studios. Each of us had what is called a Silver Pass. We could go to any Disney Park in the world and take 3 perople in with us, we did not pay for parking and were treated like we owned the place. Many times when we arrived amt the park my partner and I would go to a family with two children and espcort them into the park for free. After a while teh rides get bnoring lol.

Ever been to a Disney theme park ?

Yes, once long time ago - I took my sister`s kids to Euro-Disneyland near Paris, I remember it was an expensive fun...

Many times to the original Disneyland in Anaheim, CA. I don't know how many times. Once as a Jub meet many years ago. Also, Gay Days.

Disneyland was the first place I ever smelled marijuana. I was with friends from elementary school going through it's a Small World and asked what that smell was and they told me it was pot.

I went once and thought it was a huge disappointment compared to the Amusement Parks I grew up near like Kings Dominion and Hershey Park - the rides at the Old Kings and Hershey were much bigger and more intense

Once to Disney World and once to Disneyland. I wanted to take my husband there a couple years back but he refused to go after he read about how bad Disney treats its employees.

To be fair Disney parks are theme parks. Roller coaster parks are adventure/adrenaline parks usually.

thought they all became the biggest gay bars in the world--pride:-but one person mentioned it--if you are a poor family this day in the park is not affordable.

both Hershey and Kings Dom are/were theme parks - Hershey is a Chocolate Theme Park - it has an entire Chocolate Factory and various Chocolate theme events/destinations throughout the park - and Kings was a Hanna Barbara theme park - Flintstones - Yogi - Scooby-Do etc... but both parks featured 100's of thrill rides in addition to the theme areas...
