Ever been with a "Satanist"?

Satanism is completely ridiculous. I've never met a person claiming to be a satanist or interested in the dark side of life who did not have a serious personality disorder at worst, and at best a total lack of self esteem and identity. I dated someone who claimed to be the anti-Christ. After a certain period of time, whenever he would talk about it I would flat out say "that's silly, don't be ridiculous." I think anyone serious about their spiritual practices would at least defend their position when being insulted...but nope, not this anti-Christ. Just sat there. Most people into this nonsense are generally teenagers; or in point of fact, teenagers who never grew up. My advice, have fun, but don't get serious. Run in the opposite direction very quickly.

Being judgmental is so fun!

Since his death in 1947, Aleister Crowley has become a worldwide cult figure (known affectionately as The Great Beast) by some followers that actually do refer to themselves as "Satanists." So.....is that guilt by association?

Um, people refer to him as "The Great Beast" because that is what he referred himself as. "To Mega Therion" which is greek for "The Great Beast" but which he referred to in his books "The Master Therion"

His mother always accused him of being the great beast of revelation whenever he misbehaved as a child, and he actually liked that association. Also any woman (and one male apprentice who's name escapes me) he had a meaningful relationship with he referred to as his Scarlet Woman.

Crowley did believe that he was the great beast of revelation in the capacity that the coming of his religion of Thelema (and one could project the entire new age movement he inspired) would be the end of the age of the dying god (Christianity) where faith was bolstered by fear and guilt.

Damn, you have done your homework. I'm impressed someone took the time to read one of my posts, and if you pinky swear on the Aeon of Horus, that you'll read future posts I write then I'll try to double check my facts from now on, k?

cool

Jimmy Page was really fascinated with Crowley huh? Didn't he buy his house or castle or something?

And I know it's symbolic but in Ozzy's song Mr. Crowley, what do you think he means when he wrote, "won't you ride my white horse?"
Could it be a reference to cock? Aleister was as bisexual as a three dollar bill.

HaHA! seems we've turned this thread into a Satanist information booth ha ha arh arh arh:=D:

\m/  \m/ __rook n row, mate!

It's weird how people seem very willing to go out of their way to not offend a Wiccan or Satanist or pagan, but they have no qualms about telling Christians that their religion is bullshit. Is that because Christians have homophobia in their bylaws?

Lex

I admit that as a teenager I was rather full of crap.

I also don't believe in Wicca, but that Tara from Buffy the Vampire Slayer sure was hot.

What does the quoted text mean?
Well, it's quoted wrong, so the way it is there means literally, "I'm hitchhiking, pick me up and I'll make it worth your while."

\m/  \m/ __rook n row, mate!
But if it were quoted the original way it would roughly translate to mean, "FREE BIRD, FREE BIRD! And I have your king in checkmate with my rook on your back row. FREE BIRD!"

Did that help you out? Just let me know if you need anything else translated from Satanic to English.

Later bro

It is funny how people do this, so allow me to interject.

Satanists and Wiccans, in my view, are just as loony as Christians, Muslims, and any other classification of those that practice a religion. If one believes in Satan, however does not believe in the Hebrew God, then why should the Satanist get a free pass? They shouldn't and don't from me.

However, I could understand somebody simply referring to themselves as a "Satanist", just to get Christians riled up. That actually is somewhat humorous to me. As long as they don't take the "religion" seriously.

Pffft. One guy here claimed he was in a relationship with Satan himself.

I don't think it was a relationship per se,I think he said they were just fuck buddies..

If I remember the title of the thread,it went something like..''I've been fucked by Satan himself.''

Them crazy kids..

But to the OP-while I'm not particulary religious,I would have to say,if you're a Satanist, that would be a dealbreaker for me..

That shit freaks me out..

how did o'boy know it was actually Satan fucking him and not some lesser demon totally lying about being the Dark Czar of the Nether Reaches?
It was probably just Satan's Pilates instructor, claiming to be the Evil Lord of the Corpse Fields.

Some non-religious people are just as self-righteous as religious people. Free pass? Seriously?

How about just minding your own business and letting people believe whatever they want?

Because when people that follow your designated religion begin interjecting your religious beliefs into laws that affect all of us in the populace, then it becomes my business.

When someone adds two plus two and gets five, they don't even have to make it into a law for it to be my business. Common compassion for someone getting it wrong is enough warrant to speak up.
