Nope. I'm always trying new things, taking risks.

You slowly die if you don't.

IMHO, of course.

I think many people feel small and insignificant at times, that whatever they say matters to no one. I've felt like this before.

From what I've gathered, you have kids, so you have a family. Some individuals have no one at all. What you say and what you contribute probably does indeed matter to people, even if you feel differently.

...you've reached your contributional limit? You find that the barrel is empty, the well dry and any attempt at further input vanishes rapidly into a, metaphorical, singularity. No lower common denominator. No shared commonality at all, other than on, perhaps, such a quantum level as to have no discernable affect on higher levels.

It's a shift of disparity that, unnoticable at first, one day surprises you with the amount in which it's enlarged, and encompassed your dealings and interactions. To the point where the distance reached is well nigh astronomical in proportion so that in the end, your voice falls into dead space and is heard by none. Ghostly and spectral it floats etheral, heard only by it's source.

Ever felt that?

yes I have

and then I realize that my ability to connect with others and the world around me is MINE, not the worlds

that means its fixeable if I can embrace change

does a closing door harm your fingers with malice, or does your choice to stick them in there as it swings shut cause the pain? ;)

I don't know...

Some great authors kill themselves because they think they have lost their relevance, and yet Dannielle Steele turns out three books a year for a decade. To whom is she rellevant? probably to herself, first and foremost.

Change and relevance seem to be connected somehow, and if I cannot embrace change, I cannot see my rellevance. Change does occur whether we want it to or acnowledge it. that is the nature of reality. If I cannot see reality, then i cannot see my place in it.

In certain aspects of my life, but not in life in general.

Until the day I die, I have a list of goals that must be accomplished. And the only to get those accomplished is very drastic, and time consuming, so my contribution is yet to be added.

Seeing the ex really sucks...

I take it you mean JUB? I reached that about 2 months ago, which is why you haven't seen me around for awhile. Am I back? I dunno...all the posts still seem to be about the same topics, it's like I never left.

i like peanut butter. i like it best with jelly. my favorite type of jelly is plum. plum jelly has this sweet, but not too sweet taste to it that i love. not sure of why. blah blah blah blah blah

you see? there's always something to contribute... contributions don't all have to be treatises-of-man's-place-on-the-universe (even though those are a lot more interesting).

it might be just burnout; or it could be that you've lost interest for a while ... or maybe altogether. (i'm sure you already knew that).

sorry for the lack of a resolution 'cuz i don't know of any.

like bell-bottoms, this to shall pass. in the meantime, go out for a few drinks.

did you know that coping after an injury, dealing with difficult families issues, facing difficult finances, ending a job, starting a new job and planning for the holidays are some of the biggest stressors people can face?

did you know that you're facing all six?
.... at the same time?

i said it before and i'll say it again: go out, have some fun. rewarding yourself is one of the most effective ways to manage stress.

... the crazy doctor told me so. :)

Yes.

Take my mood from the past three or so weeks and there you go.

Yes.

Every time I try to talk to my teenaged daughter.

Its the main reason why I deleted my account, but Gery I've told you many times about the whole contribution and me having nothing in common with these JUB members. Just be glad that you're apart of this community, there have been people here that have contributed nothing, but you have. (*8*)

I did that already. Six days down in Southern California at the end of Agust. It wasn't quite long enough, we could have done with another weeks but, it'll have to do.

NOW I gird my loins, set my face like flint and forge ahead come hell or high water, or both. I'll survive, it's what I do.

why merely survive when you can survive well?

when i say treat yourself, i don't mean go out on another vacation. i mean give yourself an hour or five and do something you WANT to do. and do it every few days (or maybe everyday) until you've made some of those stressors go away.

vacations help you focus on what you do with life. stress relief treats help you deal with day-to-day life.

there be a difference in there somewheres.... i promise ..|

stress never goes away.

someone once told me: stress is proof that you're alive.

#-o

i guess how you deal with it determines how you live

grrrrr.... dammit, gimme the last word. ;)

um... yeah

so, as i was saying before: managing stress is a very important skill to learn for life and happiness. ..|
