Ever have a time when you were almost outed ?

Hmmmm.......

Well, I had two people threaten to out me....

1.) Who simply backed off and never really brought the issue to around again.

2.) Who I threatened to out, while unbeknowst to him I had pictures of him "posing" with another guy on his webcam, if he outed me.


But despite all my carefully laid plans....I still managed to get myself outed, from a source I least expected.

Oh well, if it had played out worse I would be upset...But seeing as nothing's changed, I'm just thankful it was easier than me having to do it all myself.

OMG!

Let me see, I was in the military for over 22 years and totally "closted" as we know; otherwise I would NOT have lasted to retirement!!!

I canNOT count the times I was on the "cusp" of being outed by people in command of my young ass as a pilot in the military.......like, why aren't you married Roger? Who's your date for such and such military function, etc, etc, etc.!!!

I use to "hire" people/women to go with me to military functions!!

I know that's hard to believe; but it was soooo imperative that I have a woman on my arm; otherwise the military brass would start prying....wondering WHY or WHY NOT ....and that could lead to some very embrassing moments in a military pilot's life!!

"IF" I had it to do all over again, I am not certain I would be able to do it and now that I look back on the 22 years of hiding my Gayness, I just do NOT know how I pulled it off!

Those of you, you military JUBBERS, "IT" can be done....hiding your Gayness; and I wish ALL of you good luck!

Life got easier, once I was out and didn't care who knew. I still respect other people's comfort levels and only make it an issue if them later realising would cause them major embarassment.

So being outed is no longer an issue.

What ever, you guys really took that out of context, and replying with crap like that ist cool. When your talking over the net you cant tell the tone of voice the person is speaking in. Anyway i wont apologize for this just because it feels as if I'm being attacked for no reason at all. Maybe you guys should have been a bit more "mature" about it and said something a bit different.

And maybe you should have reread what you wrote and looked at it as an overall way it would have been perceived because obviously you stepped on some toes. I will not apologize for the choices that I have made in my life. I do know that it shaped the person that I am today.

What a shame you feel attacked...Maybe we felt attacked too and yes, maybe I was defensive. I am mature enough to accept my feelings.
