ever wanted to move to a different city...

I have lived and worked in serveral different countries and cities, and it is great, as it really forces you to get out and meet people, make new friends, over dinners and drinks, and can be great fun, but you have to be the sort of person that will put in the effort and get out there, talk to people in bars etc, and make new friends, ok there are some times when it is lonely and you wish for old friends, but making new friends is great to.

Ive lived in Torrance/Redondo Beach (Los Angeles) and Chula Vista (San Diego), and they are both exteremly different, but it still doesn't match me. I've always had an attraction to San Francisco and Connecticut..and even recently, Boston. So ether one of those three, would be a great!

This is my third major move around the world and I'm really thinking that I shouldn't have done it. It's depressing......

We may very well move abroad someday, my bf in particular loves Greece and England so who knows where we might end up?

California is getting really expensive to live now, even the houses here in the ghetto party of San Bernardino are reaching to $350,000 dollars.

I did know that there were any homes under $400k in California. Most of the condos and townhomes in my city start at over $400k. PUD's (a step up from a townhome, they are single family homes with one wall on the property line and a little side yard on the other side of the property.) are around $500k-800k. New Single Family homes mostly start at over $700k. And I live in one of the chepest cities in the area.

I've done the move several times to cities far from family and friends. I loved living in Houston. The people there were very friendly and I made many friends. I also moved to a couple of cities I ended up not liking very much.

After moving around, I'm one of the ones who "came back home" to the city where I was born. Parents' declining health was the main reason, but I felt like I was rediscovering my hometown. I started to notice things I either never did or always took for granted. I'd love to be able to travel, but as for living, I'm happy right here.
