Thanks for enjoying one of our local favorites. The Philly Sound and Van McCoy are yet another of Philadelphia's gifts to the world. (OK, Van McCoy was born in Washington, DC. We loved him best.)

It's hard to believe Van McCoy has been gone for over 30 years. He died on July 6, 1979 form a heart attack at age 39.
