What about people from countries not mentioned? Are we to assume that they're not assholes? Or that some are and some aren't? Or that they're too boring to be considered? What about people from Lesotho and Norway and Uruguay and Tonga?

They can be just as big an assholes as those in the US, UK or NL.

Actually....America bashing is a national sport in many countries now.

I never really cared about what other countries think of America. A lot of it's based on jealousy, truly.

We truly are the best country in America. Without us the Germans wouldn't be the economic powerhouse of Europe (mostly through the Marshall Plan) and Japan wouldn't be having the one of the highest per capita GDPs in the world. Without us Milosevic would probably continue his ethnic cleansings and western Europe would be speaking German. Kuwait would have been a province of Iraq and more than likely Russia would still be a communist country.

I mean, I really wouldn't want to live in the uk, because of bad weather and not even France which is where I was this summer. They don't even pick up after their dogs defecate in the streets. I have so many relatives in Nice and Marseilles trying to make their way here, even if an idiot like Le Pen is bashing America because he's just showing his own insecurities.

I wouldn't mind living in Australia or maybe a small European country like the Netherlands or Sweden but they're a blip on the international radar. So I guess by default, America is the place to live STILL even after Bush's awful time in office.

You're just not getting it. I said why I thought America was a great country and referenced it with historical events.

You came on angry and bitter.

Like I said, I couldn't care less what other countries think of America. I firmly believe the hatred is based in jealousy and feeling inferior. ALL of our relationships with other countries are one-sided (always in our favor), so I could understand the jealousy part.

You didn't like me listing all the great things America has done. It's really a problem within yourself, because if someone would have done a brief history of Australia and listed events Australians take a national pride in, I or any secure person wouldn't have responded so angrily as you did.

I would have never said "I Hate Australians" or anything like that unless I wasn't happy with who I am.

They did it "with" NATO but it really was an American intervention. All Europe did was talk, like they're talking now about the dead in Darfur. Eventually America will have to intervene and help the innocent people of Darfur. International bodies like the UN and the EU are useless when it comes to stopping genocide and other inhumane events. In fact, wasn't it EU countries like France that ignored the genocide in Rwanda where the French had major economic pull?

Look up Operation Allied Force and the Kumanovo Agreement. Tell me then how pivotal Bill Clinton was in those events.
