  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Everything about healthy eating can be summed up in just seven words:

I personally don't have problem to switch my appetite to become completely vegetarian since veggies and fruit r never get into my nerves (bored/nauseating, etc) but I'll miss meat once awhile since you "never" get meat savory-flavor other than from "meat" ;)

I can fry hamburger, I make a killer meatloaf, I can bake a turkey/chicken, I can fry a steak, I can broil a steak, I make a mean pot roast, I can make cookies/cake from scratch. I make decent chili and ham&beans, but something I've never learned is how to is fry chicken. Not good at baking fish either. Stir fry isn't my forte.

I've barbecued burgers, but never steaks (who in the hell can afford steak today?). And fish/shrimp should never be done on the barbie, sorry about that for you down under.

Gonna ask my friend that if I buy the plants, if I can grow tomatoes and peppers at her place. I'll give her half the produce and some money towards her water bill. Because the crap you buy in the store is tasteless. Might grow some basil too. Don't need to give her any of that, she hates basil. If I do oregano and parsley, she'll want some of that. And if the parsley is in the ground instead of a pot, you let the last of it go to seed. It'll reseed itself, that's what the ex and I did with parsley. If she were even 10yrs younger, I'd try my best to talk her into putting in a full garden. 10yrs ago she could've helped in the garden, today she can't.

Good fried chicken is indeed an art; it should take you time to learn how to do it well. But you should have less problem learning how to bake fish or stir fry.

Amen. Unfortunately, this is especially true of a lot of fruit. I hardly eat fruit anymore, except in particular seasons and when I'm in the tropics.

When I was a child, there were hardly any fat people. Now they are all over. In some places they seem to be the majority.
In American airports they are definitely the majority. My advice to fat people (besides loosing weight) is to dress beautifully. If you're fat you can't get away with anything
