The Texas GOP is primed to show it's ass tomorrow night. Ted Nugent has been asked to be at the State of the Union. Later Marco Rubio might have problems responding to Obama as Nugent surely will have words. Does ANYONE on this forum believe now that the GOP is not racial bigots?

Ex-Rocker, Gun Rights Advocate Ted Nugent Invited to State of the Union Address

By: Domenico Montanaro | NBC News
Published: February 11, 2013

Ted Nugent, the ex-rocker and current gun-rights advocate, will be in attendance at Tuesday’s State of the Union as the guest of Texas Congressman Steve Stockman.

Stockman has said he would consider filing articles of impeachment about President Barack Obama for his gun-control push following the shootings in Newtown, Conn. Nugent is a board member of the National Rifle Association. Many Democrats have invited victims of gun violence to the address.

Stockman will also be livetweeting the address – with the hash tag #youlie, “debunking myths and fact checking,” his office said.

Yeah, I wouldn't wish anyone dead, but he sure could move to, I don't know, North Korea? Where is Alfie when you need him.

Can you hear the outrage from Rush and Fox News if someone on left did this?

It's a stupid move and the right does itself no favors when they continually trot out their most contentious, over the top nimrods like Nugent.

I love it. Every time they do something so totally dumbass and offensive like this.....it helps them lose the next elections
by showing the true colours of the nutcases that have control of the GOP today.

I wonder if he'll call Obama a nigger like he does in his concerts.

Nugent is a gross freak. Why on earth is this man still in the news today? I don't believe he's had a hit in decades.

The slam dunk in this article is "X-rocker". Nugent considers himself a elite rock God in the hard rock guitar world and someone who is still vitally in demand and current on the fore front of music to up and coming peers. The ego is enormous and he loves other players to kiss his ass smothering him in praise about his feats on the axe. To say he is a has been and over the hill is shit in his eyes.
Statements like "X-rocker" is like slamming him in the balls with a 25 lb sledge hammer. It hurts worse then saying he sucks as a hunter.

For what it's worth... I just called my Representative and my Senator to express my disappointment and anger that Nugent was going to be at the State of the Union. I was polite and reserved which is more than he deserves. My operative word was inappropriate.

What's this all about? Why would they extend an invitation to Ted Nugent?

If the Right wants any credibility they've got to stop pandering to their fringe. They'll never win any elections this way.

Still doesn't change the FACT -- he's an illegal alien.

SOTU is a sham anyway -- how many promises has Obama broken since his first one?

Good Lord Jack! You're starting to sound like that Texas Congressman Steve Stockman who invited Nugent to the SOTU address. This kid has broken no laws. If he has then he needs to be, er, (whatever that word is taking his guilt away) he has done no wrong and I'm sure Nugent has broken a lot of laws.

What if two US citizens -- a married couple -- rob a bank and go to prison -- what happens to their kids. Do the parents get to stay out of jail so they can stay with their kids? no

The issue is that 11 million people did not rob a bank -- they just entered a country illegally and expect all the privileges of legal residents. There is power in numbers.

Seriously get a grip. He's not breaking the law. He was brought here as a kid. He did nothing wrong.

What a pile of bullshit ... one of the worst lines I've seen yet. Absolutely no justification. It has nothing to do with "robbing ab ank".

Pleazzzze...
