Well, I'm like 30 - 40 pounds overweight. I've gots man boobs, a belly, and a flabby butt lol. I can wear tight enough clothes to cover up my man boobs, but I can't really do anything about my butt.

I was wondering what exercises I can do at home to get a great butt. Like the ones that force your eyes into an unbreakable lock-on mode haha. I've been trying to take walks to get the mail and stuff, you know, just little stuff. I hate running...but I guess I probably should.

So yeah, what can I do at home without weights or anything that will give me the secksah butt I'm looking for.

Spot reducing doesn't work. You have to do an overall fitness program, lose the weight then concentrate on specific areas to FIRM the body. It takes time. You also have to watch your food intake. Eat less...exercise more. Drink lots of water.

I would suggest you try bicycle riding DAILY to start. Not just casual riding, but a workout. Or get a stationary bike that you can ride indoors.

It is also a good idea to check with your doctor before starting any kind of exercise program. He may also have other ideas.

You can loose the weight fast in a short time with portion control and an hour of exercise at least 6 times a week. Building something up or making something go away is a different story. Sometimes our genetics get in the way. I suffer from no butt and no matter what I do I can't get one. I know that and have to move on from trying. You can't be perfect but you can be fit.

Lunges work To lift the butt i dont have much of an ass but dont over do it and work the whole body walking for an hour a day should melt the fat away make sure to walk up hills to make it harder

To specifically target your butt inside of a weight reduction routine you should try a stair machine for about an hour for 3 times a week and on the other days use an exercise bike.

While on the stair machine, try for about 10 minutes (and as you get better increase) to lean back while supporting your weight with your arms so your legs are bent almost 90 degrees while your climbing... essentially a snowboarder's stance ... you'll get great lags and butt that way.

What would you guys say about stair machines for folks who have problems with the knees?

You don't elaborate on the type of knee problem and the answer really depends. It would probably be best to speak to a physiotherapist about it.

If you place your feet correctly then the motion is straight up and down, like on a bike, so it is better for the knees than many other exercises where there is a rotation.

One thing to look out for it over-training the outer leg muscle (vastus lateralis) while neglecting the inner one (vastus medialis), because it can put uneven pressure on your knee caps, thus rotating them slightly out of centre and making them more susceptible to injury.

In general that's true for all training, to maintain a balance between the muscle groups; easy to say but not always so easy to implement.

By a step stool and step up and down on it first with no weights...then with weights

or

if you join a health club....go on a step mill....it's kind of like a treadmill..but a set of stairs...man, 10 minutes on that thing will kick your ass in shape!

I find being a barman, on my feet for hours at a time, pacing back and forth I dont really have a problem with my legs or butt.

It really sounds like your not at all happy with your body, if your willing to put in the work then maybe a more full body work out is what you need.

Genetics are a factor too, we cant all have though hot tight bubblebutts that some porn stars have, some guys have flat almost non existant butts, just do your best, I'm sure its perfect how ever it is.

I used to me very overweight (265 pounds in 8th grade) and I have lost 100 pounds due to eating healthy and exercising daily. It's difficult to begin a program, but as many have said above, spot training will not work. I will say that these exercises (along with a whole body workout) have made my ass really nice: squats and leg presses will help but I noticed the best results from working the stairmaster.

Good luck!
