Explosions, shootings reported in central Paris

[STRIKE]Ahh the cozy luxury of wrapping ourselves up in a blanket in an armchair and saying that living daily under the threat or fear of being bombed or attacked is not actually a valid cause of panic or flight. Only actually fleeing bullets themselves aimed at you and your children personally is valid.

I dare say most of the Jews attempting to leave Nazi Germany were not actually (or at least, did not believe themselves to be) in imminent, personal physical danger themselves. Certainly they were not leaving neighborhoods of completely bombed-out housing. But they could tell the way the wind was blowing was not good.[/STRIKE]

You must be slower than I thought.

So, I'll remind you, I'm not the least bit interested in anything you have to say – about anything.

You were interested enough to read it, pretend you didn't, and make an elaborate response dramatically stating that you don't care.

Get a life.

@ Kahaih.

^He sure has a good point. The worst way to look as though you don't care is to show how much effort it cost.

Was that ^ post a lot of effort for you?

Normally, I'd likely just laugh at that sort of post, but perhaps you suffer from arthritis and/or chronic fatigue? Feel better.

^ Oh good heavens.

By all means go ahead and laugh all you want...your cynical laughter always bring us joy.

Speak for yourself, dude. Your combative stance on, well, almost every topic ever, is quite exhausting. It's like fighting off a pack of two year olds.

And you're an opportunist who takes any chance they can get to criticize an individual. Sorry, but Kahaih generally leaves antagonizing posts and then resorts to insults when confronted.

Well Phew. I'll bet you feel a lot better too, now that you got that off your chest.

When people have nothing else to say,
they start attacking you personally saying you are "dump, you mother dropped you when you were a child, bigots, racist, simple mind, troll, ... etc"

It's unfortunate that the genuine Syrian refugees have to be painted with the broad brush of mistrust and suspicion. This might be the price that has to be paid for safety. Each country must protect it's own people first and foremost. If only one of the Paris terrorist was Syrian, and that is in doubt, and 128 people are dead, how many have to die at the hands of multiple terrorists welcomed into a country before strong measures are taken, even measures that seem unkind or inhumane?

I remember ISIS issuing a warning earlier in the year to the effect that terrorists would be planted among refugees. I think there needs to be strict monitoring of refugees as to verifying who they say they are. I know NZ are trying to do this.

C'mon, you love a challenge, and I challenge you, thus, you love me. :D. You can take it as good as you can dish it out.

It seems to deflate the 'escaping horror' notion, though, when the women and children are left behind/abandoned in a 'war zone' to fend for themselves.

My great grand parents had to do the same. The father and oldest daughter were the only two who had the strength to lead ahead. Disease, malnutrition and babies tend to slow you down when time is of the essence. Funnily enough they didn't want to stay in Siberia.

You seem to have a very convenient opinion of how people leave war zones.

We are bringing them in so fast and with no way to check them, that there really is no chance of sorting out the terrorists. Hussein could care less and promises to veto any attempt to slow the floodhttp://news.yahoo.com/white-house-says-obama-veto-proposal-more-scrutiny-221929163.html
Flooding the country with muslims asap is the number one priority for hussein.

Here is a report of the FBI admitting its inability to vet the refugeeshttp://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2015/10/dhs_admits_we_have_no_screening_process_for_syrian_refugees.html

He knew that drawing a hard line of "validity" for flight from a wartorn country between "actually fleeing explosions right on your footsteps" and "living in daily panic that at any moment that will happen" didn't hold water.

Hence his infantile response.

Calls the president 'Hussein' on one breath and denies being racist in the next.

No matter what, racists' opinions are necessarily discarded in these debates for good reason.

Muslim is not a race. And you never discuss issues. You only come here to make personal remarks, so your comments are discarded.

Barak Hussein Obama, no? That is his name.

Yet, the President does not go by Hussein nor has he ever. To use it both implies disrespect and some intent to refer to him in an obtuse way, presumably to allude to his alleged foreign birth, or at least that has often been the case from Tea Party critics. Whatever happened to President Obama, or The President? Is it so hard to give the elected chief executive his due title? If the protocols of the U.S. Senate prevent disrespectful address of senators, how much more we owe the head of our government, to say nothing of non-citizens using terms of disrespect.

Would it be appropriate to refer to George Herbert Walker Bush as Herbert, or Herb? No. The familiarity alone would be disrespectful.

Muslim is not a race.

No, it is not. Yet some continue to use it with the same disrespect and disdain that was in recent times used for racial epithets. it escapes no one's attention here that Islamophobic members indeed have an almost racist antipathy for Muslims as a group.

Bigotry is bigotry.
