Hey guys, wondering if anyone can help I am looking for some really sad movies cuz i'm on a bit of a downer at the minute and am thinking i need to watch some sad movies, whether they're about gay relationships, death anything can anyone help me find some, just after watching The Dead Girl which is really sad anyone no anymore? I like ones with prositution and stuff cuz it relates. Can anyone help? :-)

not about prostitution, but a gay movie called the bubble is a super-fantastic movie.... and it is very very sad. Its an Isreali movie about a gay couple, one is Isreali and the other is a Palestinian... i HIGHLY recommend it!!!

A mighty heart
Family Stone

Cinema Paradiso (the ending)

Boys Don't Cry, Terms of Endearment, Boys On The Side, Finding Neverland, Beaches

damn, cbtfan beat me to it.

umm downer prostitution movie ... try TransAmerica, it is disheartening.

What? How is it disheartening?

Boys on the Side, My Girl, The Hours, Steel Magnolias, Finding Neverland, Dancer in the Dark, The House of Sand and Fog, The Shawshank Redemption, Moulin Rouge, Million Dollar Baby, Fried Green Tomatoes

"Tristan and Isold" with James Franco is very sad

I almost said that one but it didn't make me cry. It's sad, but epic b/c it's part of the King Arthur legend.

Brilliant performances by James and Sophia.

Saddest movie ever? 'Old Yeller'

You may just be right. Another super sad dead dog movie that I saw as a kid, "Where the Red Fern Grows." I rarely cry in movies where people die, but often when animals do.

This one is a little obscure: "The Dead" It's an adaptation of a James Joyce short story. Directed by John Huston (his last movie - he was dying as he filmed it.) Stars Angelica Huston and Gabriel Byrne. Like I said, I rarely cry in movies, but this one got me.

"Dancer in the dark"

cast: Bjork
Director: Lars Von Trier

it'll make your eyes puffy

Pan's Labirynth - Incredible film and the only time i've cried in a cinema, although everyone else was too.
