Facebook going 'Timeline' for EVERYbody

The only good thing that I can imagine timeline helping with is if I get dementia in 30years time. ;) At the moment, I hate the look of it, and can actually see myself not using FB as often once it's forced upon me.
 
I still don't have a facebook.
That is no pass nor present.

Is that mean i have not born yet ? :lol:
 
I like the Timeline homepage feature thingy. Although when I go on random status update hunts over the years I see some of the truly stupid shit I've posted over the years after too many wines and I can't help but think "does this really need to be kept for eternity" :badgrin:
 
Why do people say the same thing every change facebook makes and then just happily except it and end up loving it?

I imagine less that one percent ever get rid of their facebook due to a facebook facelift.
 
Nothing facebook has done in the many years i've had it has amounted to a face lift until now.

The many privacy setting fiascoes were an easy fix. The games that were selling your info and taking up your time while spamming your friends to come visit your city or farm? Easy, get rid of the games. The spam and the phishing? Well, don't click on the super-obvious links that appear in your friends bulletins. I'm not even worried about people searching my past - i've nothing to hide and I don't think mine goes back very far anyway.

This is the one thing I did not want - for my page to be all bunched up. It may not get me to flee but it sure will piss me off come next tuesday.

Not if you keep up on your page and delete items and status updates once they are a few days old..I try and keep my Facebook very current..The only things on my page I might keep after a few days are some pictures..All other links and comments are deleted in a matter of days..

Yeah I should really clean house. I think most of the stupid things I've posted have already been deleted, but I have no interest in keeping records of the nonsense that's usually on my page anyway, even if it's not "incriminating" hahaha

I hear you..It's just a habit I got into after I repeatedly observed the assholes on the news try to twist around the status updates of people that happened to find themselves on the news for some reason or the other..

I hate the Timeline, its confusing and crowded and its hard to navigate through. I hate chatting with people using the Timeline through comments because it loads slowly. And for some reason it scrolls up and i end up clicking the banner picture by mistake its annoying. Facebook is always doing some annoying overhaul every few months. If it wasn't for me keeping up with people on there i would delete
 
Barely use my facebook..so it doesn't matter as much to me.
 
Can't find gsdx on Facebook. What happened to him? Once had some nice conversations with him, and he is always finding great stuff on the web. Suppose we'll have to start reporting these people to Garden of Memories.

For me this is a reason not to like it. I like tumblr, but they don't need to make Facebook a second tumblr :/

I'll get used to it eventually, but I still dislike it.

I miss when things were so cluttered and each of the modules and information were in boxes you can move to the left or right colums. It was so disorganized, but I still enjoyed it more than it is now :p
 
I logged on there just to see what this timeline thingie is. The layout looks alittle different than I remember, but I guess I don't see anything really different than before, or anything really old either...

But considering that allot of stuff never works right on that site (and not to mention its slow as hell) there's a reason I don't use it.

I love the timeline and can't wait for it to be uniform across facebook.

If you don't like it, Google + is only a click or two away. Just saying...
