He's gay. I had no idea and thought he was str8. Noteworthy though, I've never even spoken with him (he works in a different dept.).

Have you experienced any gay surprises on Facebook? Str8 fam members, old friends from years ago, neighbors, etc. out on social media?

Unfortunately for me, he doesn't even know I exist and there is an age gap by a factor of about 3X, but hey, nice fantasy at least.

Stumbled upon a high school friend's Facebook page. His cover photo was of him and his husband. In high school (long, long, long ago)I had no idea that he was gay.

Nope. Everyone I ran across that I knew was pretty much exactly as I knew them to be. In the early years, there were classmates who were so excited to get networked as 'friends' but meh.

I used to be friends with this lesbian girl in High School i knew her long enough when she dated guys. She came up on people i may know with a different name and he transitioned into a boy.

I knew this guy from the bar. he's engaged and has two kids and i was on grindr one day and saw his picture pop up. I messaged him on facebook i thought someone stole his picture the poor guy begged me now to tell anyone. I told him i don't care just be-careful.

I haven't been on FB for more than a decade, but my workplace is so fragmented and disjoint, almost no one meets anyone on other projects. We don't even meet the same department members who do the same jobs we do.

There have been several recent hires over the past year or three, and after people came back in post-COVID, a couple of them caught my eye because they were handsome and also wore their pants too tight.

One engineer also seemed to show up in the men's room every time I had to go. Got me wondering why we had a biorhythm that matched. Still no idea.

Looking him up on Instagram, I do think he's gay, but like most engineers I know, not out out. He had multiple pics of his bestie back home, and several pics were more than buddies. I never see him any more, as I suspect he is either working full time remotely, or has gone to work in the manufacturing building or in the classified area of the basement. Handsome and more than a little sexy.

I sure can't think of anyone on social media that I (even) strongly suspect was gay. I can't even think of any former co-workers that now are out as gay. But if you went to my FB page there is nothing there to indicate I was gay. The only hint would be that I didn't select (in the profile section) that I was interest in male or female. I left that blank.
