I've heard talk that if a guy doesn't put anything in the "Interested In" category, he's probably gay. Based on a few (crappy) studies, the people I know, and general opinion, I'd say that's reasonable for most people.

I want to know if the same thing holds true for women. I really want to know if a certain chick is interested in guys. She doesn't have anything for "Interested In," and she doesn't talk about dating/past boyfriends. Not that you can tell, but she doesn't have any other telltale signs of being a lesbian.

Thoughts?

I don't think the same thing applies to women for the most part. Women tend to be more private about their personal interests whereas a guy would just say "fuck it, who cares?"

From my experience, women are more open to the idea of homosexuality and bisexuality than men. So omitting the "Interested in" category may not mean that they're lesbians, but simply that they don't want people to pry into their personal lives.

Yeah, actually I put nothing in my "Interested In" section. Basically because I'm a closeted gay guy. Some of my friends know, but I can't risk it on Facebook as it's too public and my family is there. Basically, I have the hope of other gay guys to notice that I'm actually gay by not putting anything in my "Interested In" section...

By not putting anything, you're basically outing yourself. Why no lie and put "Women?"

Being gay is like a taboo in my family...Even if they can sense it, they will deny it...but I can never risk it though...I'm fine coming out to my friends, but not to anyone in my family...Well, when I put neither Men nor Women, the "Interested In" section automatically disappeared...:D

You're probably right Ace. I just realized I know a lot more women than men who didn't put anything under interested in. Maybe they just like to be more private?
