Delete it. The only way to hide it from everybody is, in essence, to blow it up. So far as I know.

If I could make a guess, are you looking to perhaps use your facebook account to befriend (or chat with) somebody you don't want your other friends to know about? If so, why not simply created a second facebook account for that purpose?

Facebook the company archives everything, and I mean EVERYTHING that is and ever has been on your facebook. But yea, you can hide stuff from everyone else by doing what Abs said.

I know that from gay dating sites, but these guys do it so they appear on the frontpage again to get more visitors, instead of being found through the search function.
