They have constructed a hockey rink in the outdoors in First Energy Stadium, Cleveland, Ohio for a hockey game between Ohio State and the University of Michigan to be played outdoors on Saturday, February 18th, 2023. This is normally the Cleveland Browns football stadium and is the first time this has been done there.
 
Cool! The NHL has a few outdoor games annually, most recently a Stadium Series game this month at Carter-Finley Stadium. The football home of North Carolina State University, it's across the street from PNC Arena, the regular home of the Carolina Hurricanes.

I haven't been to an outdoor game yet, although the Hurricanes "invited" me. A trip to Raleigh wasn't possible.

I do like college hockey but no major programs are in my area. This year's NCAA Frozen Four championship will be held in Tampa.
