For the last 6 months or so I've been using Clean & Clear Deep Pore Cleansing liquid on my face to help keep my face clear, and it's been working very well, but I've been having a problem the last month or so. It's been drying the skin out on my face, mostly around the edges of my mouth and around my nose.
Since there are so many facial moisturizers out there I thought I'd come here first and ask what are some of the good ones.

Clean and Clear makes a great face lotion w/a hint of salyclic(sp?) acid for those prone to breakouts. I've used it for a while now and really like it. Totally cheap too!

I've been using Olay's Regenerist SPF 15 in the mornings. It's lightweight, and provides ample moisturizing.

Another line I've heard nothnig but good things about is Paula's Choice (www.cosmeticscop.com) I just ordered their Skin refreshing toner, and 2% beta Hydroxy acid liquid.

A product called 'Glaxal Base' by a company called 'Wellskin' will just simply moisturize you, no dicking around. It is medical grade and only sold in Canada. A 4 ounce tub is like $20 USD, but 4 ounces is actually quite a bit and will last you a while.

It is very worth it. Wellskin only makes top quality products, all their stuff is in the $20-30 range and you get what you pay for. I have persistent acne that has gotten better on a duac/differin morning and night regimen. Duac has 5% benzoyl peroxide which is a skin killer, and Differin is a retinoid which turns your face into a drought. It works beautifully in tandem to clear your skin, at least for me, but you pay dearly with dry skin. Retinoids act a lot like accutane, just topically, as they essentially dry up the oil production and encourage sloughing of dead skin removing the triggers for most acne. No oil though, like accutane, dries you up.

I have tried most moisturisers in the book, even the really recommended ones like Dove and Cetaphil. They are pretty good, but they are either greasy, or made me break out, even though they state they are non-comedogenic. For the longest time I went straight on Jojoba oil, which is an absolute miracle and is very recommended if you don't have acne prone skin. It is lauded as non-comedogenic and even an acne treatment in itself, but after about a week I get little whiteheads that never appear otherwise, and I know they are from the oil. I used to use it in my hair and I got bumps on my scalp... so even though I love it and still use it on my body, I do not use it on my face any more.

But Glaxal Base is just wicked. It is expensive, but man, this is your face. I would gladly pay a bit more to not look like I have a stage three sunburn every day. It is OTC, you just have to get it off a Canadian online pharmacy.

^^ Nivea! Really does work wonders. I've had trouble with dry skin so tried some Nivea Creme, three days later I was fine.

I use a body moisturizer on my face, which seems to work for me. Instead of using after shave I apply the lotion on my face and body after showering or before I go out. It’s Suave Vitamin E (the bottle also says it's a multi-vitamin complex and it's supposed to be age defying) moisturizer.

Unfortunately if you cut down on the applications of your regimen usually your condition gets worse. That is not really an option.

This may sound crazy, but I use "Timewise" moisturizer by Mary Kay. It's great. Doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy. Does a great job of moisturizing the skin though.
