When people call you a fag(ot), or just use the word around you or in front of you, does it offend you?

I have been called fag and I didn't like it. I'm not a huge fan of the term even when other gay guys use it, but I'm not going to say that I haven't laughed at some jokes by gay comedians that have used the word in their jokes.
 
No ... but it's seems to be mostly a US term for 'gay'.

Here the UK* the primary meaning of 'fag' is a cigarette.

Yeah, I came across this:

fag 1. An extremely annoying, inconsiderate person most commonly associated with Harley riders.
2. A person who owns or frequently rides a Harley.

One never stops learning
 
My older sisters would always call me fag whenever they were pissed at me and before I even knew what that meant, but little did they know that I really would turn out gay. :lol: I hated it then, I hate it now. I really don't like hearing it from other gay guys either.

it doesn't bother me if another gay guy uses it, if a non-gay uses is, i don't like it......

ive taken up the habit of hitting my friends if they say it... aftera warning of course,lol... but i am offended when people say it
 
A fag was a younger boy at school. The word doesn't have the same meaning in the UK as it does in the US.

If it is suppose to be an insult only if a couple of certain people use it.

If it is someone I know other than those certain people, I cut them out of my life. Anyone else I consider the source and move one.

IT was a south park episode where the adults were explaining what a fag was to the boys.. and the boys looked around the community and decided the people who most fit the description were the biker gang.... so they thought that fag meant a biker person......
 
Depends on who says it and in what context it's used. Like others have said, if it's used to express hate then I don't like it. Otherwise it's no big deal.
