Last night before I went to bed I went looking for my cigarettes. Took me a couple of minutes to remember I don't smoke anymore. That was a bit "special" lol.
 
Epic fail here. One of our elderly neighbors has been sick for awhile and for the last week or so I had intended to stop for a visit with her and bring some flowers. I kept putting it off. Today she died. I always regret my thoughtlessness and promise myself that I will act on my good intentions in the future, but if I am honest, I know I will fail someone again. Ugh.
 
This is not "my" fail of the day but it's like a vicarious fail.

A friend of mine that I've known since he was 15 or so posted a picture of himself from when he was probably 18 or 19. In the picture he had spiky short brown hair and a little facial hair all the way around. Today he's 30something like me, and keeps his hair buzzed down to just fuzz all over his head, and bleaches it that horrible lighter than baby duck down feather blond. With so little hair on his head you notice he has a very large forehead and the bleach job is so light it almost suggests white hair like an old man.

The caption he put on the picture was "Wow, what a fail, check out me back in my dorky geeky days."

That awkward moment when I thought but would never say, you looked so much better in that picture. :/
 
I've alienated everyone in my office/lab by for the first time ever refusing to be Mr* Nice Guy, and having to put my foot down with three different sets of people in order to get shit done.

It feels good to have done it, though...

Making coffee, sitting down with it, falling asleep at my desk for a minute before I could drink any.
 
I thought I heard my colleague told me to "suck a penis" when in fact he said "start to finish"
 
I went to get my car washed, got distracted by a electronics sale, bought new bose speakers for the game room computer. Got home, put the car in the garage, got out and saw how grubby my car is...............#-o

So I gotta' go to the car wash again today...................I'll probably come home with a new flat screen............:o
