"Fast & Furious" made $72.5 million dollars over the weekend. That's the biggest F&F opening, the biggest Universal opening, and the biggest April opening ever. Did anyone even FATHOM that it would make this much? I'm blown away!

People probably miss Vin Diesel...

To me it looks exactly the same as the first one...

I liked it. Much better than what I expected and as good as the first one. Vin Diesel is back, he was born to be the lead in that movie. I enjoyed the movie.

I think those are two big reasons why it did so well. IMO easily the best sequel of the series and I'm expecting a 5th film with those numbers. Really surprised it did that well

It was entertaining escapist fun with nice cars and hot guys - so I was all for it

i loved this movie , especially since im a vin diesel fan ^_^ . the fast and the furious isn't right without the cast in this movie .

So apparently since this movie did so well Humanity is going extinct.

Paul Walker is Hot.

My favorite Vin Diesel role...

When he gets shot and killed in Saving Private Ryan.

Nah, just joking. I think Vin is a great actor, although he has a thing about not doing sequels, or so I hear.

I'm gonna check the flick out this weekend..Everyone is giving it great reviews...Vin needed a Mega-Box office hit because his last couple of films FLOPPED big time..

He's been showing signs of becoming another B-listed action hero like "Jean Claude Van Damme"...Having one of the Sexiest muscled bodies in Holly Wood is not enough to keep Directors and Film studios in your corner...

Saw it and Liked it...The OPENING scene was Right on the Damn money...That is how you begin a Fucking Film...LOL....

Vin was his usual one Dimensional self in this film..He really plays the same character in every film....He's not one of my Favorite actors but his Booty does look good in a pair of Silk slacks..

And the HOT Women..Nothing But Tits & Ass during the Club scenes..The Movie gets a Deff-A Plus for Eye-Candy scenes..Even the "toe sucking" scene was kinda hot....

After seeing the film I'm quite certain the studio was PRAYING to rake in at least $25 - 35 Million domestically...$72-million smackers in one weekend was a TOTAL surprise for sure....

Just saw this film tonight and liked it. Nothing cerebral here (not that I don't also like cerebral), just a fun ride fueled by pure adrenaline and testosterone. Enjoyed Dwayne Johnson in it -- always a real presence in anything he's in. But it was really Vin Diesel's movie and he seems made to play that character.

Aside from all the fast action and muscle cars, I also appreciated all the muscle bods, especially those of Diesel and Johnson. I also liked Matt Schulze's bod. I'd love to get together with any of them anytime. And we'd drive more than just cars; we'd drive each other. Too bad they all kept their clothes on -- it would've been more satisfying if they had shown at least as much skin as the women. ;) I kept hoping they'd take off their shirts and expose those ripped pecs, abs and delts. While they're at it they could take off their pants and show & tell us all about their thick quads, hams and -- yes -- glutes.

As expected, Diesel + Johnson at one point became essentially a couple who had a little difference of opinion, which grew into their big fighting match, mano a mano. It was this film's substitute for their big love scene. (A similar scene happened between Diesel + Schulze, Diesel apparently keeps his relationships very open in this movie.) My naughty side wishes they'd have done so completely naked -- sort of like a bodybuilder's duet version of Viggo Mortensen's steam room scene in Eastern Promises. :D Personally, it seems to me that, given the physicality of each, Johnson would've been "on top" of Diesel more and ultimately knocked him up -- er, out.

There were lots of good looking guys in the film, including many of the smaller roles, especially for those into muscle. I also thought Sung Kang was quite good looking. But my favorite in this film was Johnson (aside from the goatee, which I kept wishing had been styled differently, trimmer): good looking, huge, muscular and cut. And owning almost every scene he was in. One of Diesel's best features, aside from his body, of course, is his voice. I just like that deep, slightly rough & gravelly voice he has. Sexy.

Overall a good film. Perhaps a tad longer than necessary, but if you like sleek, fast cars, high-octane action and, driving it all, lots of good looking, muscular guys, this is the film to see right now.

Saw it today on IMAX. Very impressive, intense flick with great bits of humor. Paul Walker is as beautiful as ever too.

There is one last scene after the credits start rolling. I think my group was the only ones in the theater to see it. If you're a fan of the other movies, it's a scene you won't want to miss. I'm not sure how you'll react though—it alters a previous storyline, but also sets up whatever they do next.

Did "Fast Five" make $72-million or more during the opening weekend a few weeks ago like "Fast & Furious"?
