I have heard, and read, of ‘chronic fatigue syndrome’ but I think it is crap.
I am, however, constantly fatigued and I cannot figure out why. I feel exhausted, literally, all day long. What could possibly cause this? Is this common? How many of you guys also feel tired? In fact, I should be at the gym right now but I decided against it because……. I am too tired. I am not overworked so I do not need to relax more, if that’s what you’re thinking.

I definitely cannot have CFS because it really sounds too stupid to be true (no offense) so can someone please tell me if you know of any “remedies” such as eating more strawberries, or anything like that; Maybe getting more air?

thanks

PS coffee does not help, nor does red bull

I know nothing about CFS.
If I were you I would start with sleep.
But if you are tired all day, maybe you aren't getting restorative sleep. (Sleeping and getting good quality sleep are two different things.)

Ideally you'll want to establish (and follow) a routine (i.e. going to bed and getting up at the same time; at least on weekdays).
Try exercising daily. It doesn't have to be intensive, a half hour walk, or two 20 minute walks a day should help.

Give up on coffee and/or Red Bull. That is just crap caffeine that will only boost you temporarily at best.

Not enough info to go on with what you have. Things to consider:
Depression
Boredom
Not enough quality sleep or REM stage being interrupted
Infection - Epstein-Barr (Mono) low grade bacterial infection
Stress from any source

A few to consider anyway. For better understanding need the: what, when, where, how and why and if anything makes it better or worse.

I would agree w/Jayhey, saying the top two are depression and mono. Go to the doc ASAP and you'll be on the road to recovery! Good luck.

Try looking at your lifestyle. Fatigue can happen based on your eating habits & lifestyle. Here are some questions you might want to answer:

1. Am I not taking Good source of Carbohydrate such as Pastas or Whole Grain Products?

2. Am I taking plenty of Refined Carbohydrates such as Pastries, cookies & highly processed foods?

3.Am I not taking High Iron containing foods such as Liver, Meat, Dark Green Vegtables & Nuts?

4.Am I not taking Meat, Fish & Eggs for Vitamin B12?

5.Am I not taking Zinc Rich Foods such as shellfish?

6.Am I suffering from Anemia?

7. Am I a women?(Women tend to loose alot of Iron during menstrual)

8.Haven't I have enough Sleep every single day?

9. Haven't I been exercising Regularly?(Exercise is like an energy bank. How much you put in, that much you'll get back.)

10. Do I drink Cofee or Tea everyday?

(If you answer yes to more than 6 questions, you've got a problem with Fatigue.)

Thanks guys,
I would have never thought of some of these suggestions.

I do exercise daily and of course that makes me feel better.
I do eat healthy products but there is room for improvement.
I also drink coffee daily and whenever I try to quit I get a headache that sends me running to the nearest street vendor for my fix...haha.
I am stressed, and I'm sure that depresses me somewhat, but I do not think that this is enough by itself, in my case.
The biggest culprit may be that my quality of sleep is low because I am never satisfied upon waking up.

On a funny note - whenever I have my blood tested, the doc usually takes a lot, and I feel unbelievably great afterwards! I guess blood-letting works.

what do you mean by constantly? is it just recent or cyclical or has it been going on for an extended period.

Lack of sunlight could explain both your mood and low quality of sleep... seasonal things like pollen could be affecting you without producing the common symptoms... just a few thoughts...

While we are taking about getting enough exposure to sunlight, here are a couple tips.

1.1 Get out in the sunlight early in the day.
1.2 Do this regularly/as a routine (i.e. at the same time daily).

2.1 Stay in the sun for at least half an hour.
2.2 Wear your sunscreen and sunglasses (we don't want to encourage squinting).

I have boughts of this , only when i am working hard , going out alot , not getting enough sleep and eating crap or not eating . Then the next few days im just burnt out. The best time is when im eating healthy foods and sleeping properley. Sometimes you just have to take out time for yourself.
