not grriefing or anything, but does anyone else have the impression that some of the 'real life incidents' stories posted on the forums seems abit too detailed and scripted to be real accounts?

i mean some of the stories sound like erotic fiction more than anything, not that i mind, and i get hard by some of their stories :P but it kinda seemed unreal...just pointing it out to see if anyone else felt that :)

Sounds to me like you're just jealous because others have the kind of life you wish you had. Believe it or not, there are detail oriented people out there who could give a factual account of opening a jar of peanut butter that would be 10 pages long (single spaced, typed, and printed in small font on both sides of the page). And you'd better believe some of them could describe it in an erotic fashion, explaining how the lid and body gyrated against each other as they were turned in opposite directions. How they clung to each other until the very last moment when they separated, revealing the waiting hole. How the spoon dove into that hole, scooping out the creamy goodness. Then the tongue flicked out to hungrily sweep the peanut butter into his waiting mouth. I just described someone getting a spoonful of peanut butter, do you truly believe it wasn't real?

Regarding all the incest/dad/son/younger/older stories in the bear and fetish forum: yes.

Most stories in HT seem plausible.

next you gonna suggest there are some people who create entire fake accounts *gasp*

on a more serious note .. as everything on the internet take with a grain of salt. much might be true, much might be a bit exaggerated, some might be entirely true.
we keep an eye out for fakers, but we can't bust everyone ;)

Things happen. That's all. It could be some boring and trivial. It could be massive and great. It could be so impossibly good to be true that it seems phoney. But hey, it can happen. Thus, just because you never hear it, see it, or experience it until now doesn't mean it can't possibly exist.

In the end, it's stories. It might be true or not. It's up to you to trust it or not.

Ok... you need to write more stories. I almost got off reading this.

That wasn't a story. I was describing a time when my partner got a spoon of peanut butter. But check some of the celebrity threads I've posted in (especially the David Archuleta), I have shared some stories in them.

Here you go.

Take a pinch with every thread.

Enjoy.

no i wasn't pointing it out of bitterness and jealousy, and it's not what this post is about, i thought i'd just let out a discussion or something. just some of the stories in str8 forums about encounters with str8 guys is a little too etoric fiction. though short ones.

Which ones are you talking about? There haven't been really any posted here (detailed accounts like you said) recently that I saw other than what I wrote and that one is 100% true. I have no problem discussing that if you were in fact referring to me.

nope, wasn't you or anyone in particular - i don't really remember the poster's names. just browsing through forums like the str8/bi dudes, and reading some of shared experiences, and thought it's a little too good to be true kinda thing.

but who knows, the truth is stranger than fiction :)

^I have absolutely no idea what Cue Anime means, but I struggle to believe that it can fit into every single post you make.

BOT, I'm sure as with all stories/retellings of real-life events, there is a certain amount of embellishment for the entertainment value and reviewing with rose-tinted sunglasses in many of the posts here.

In my younger days, I was endlessly amazed at how much stranger and more vivid truth could be than fiction. I was born in a small village, went to the big city and suddenly the world just opened up.

The homosexual world was full of impossible possibilities. The rich, the poor, the creative, the famous, the beautiful, the ugly; it was all there. A banquet. Sex opened all kinds of secret doors. Particularly for a precocious kid who had no fear of making friends.

I had sex in some of the most amazing and unbelievable places with the most amazing range of guys until I met the one who I wanted to be with everday.

Today, I am still amazed by the world of the seemingly impossible. How we can connect with others if we are open and inquisitive.

So some of the stories I read make me think. Wow. Guys still are connecting out there.

But I can pretty much smell the bullshit when I open some threads.

One thing I've learned from over ten years in chat and on boards is, that gay guys are the greatest story tellers on earth and probably a couple of other planets as well. Especially when it comes to get some compassion from others.

It's not necessarily a bad thing, especially if it's a good entertaining story. Just don't take everything someone tells you for real. :D

I don't believe shit. If I were to believe half the shit I read I'd go insane. lol

But some people do have some very vivid imaginations.

yeah i haven't a clue what he wrote as well..but maybe english is not his first language so he's trying his best to convey a point...

I don't use my blog here much anymore (other than a weightloss motivational tool), but I did notice something. I'd written about high-rolling adventures in exotic locales, but only gotten a smattering of reads and responses. But one of my blog entries got a lot of reads and responses. Full of hot sweaty man sex? Massive drama involving hair-pulling and biting? Celebrity cameos?

Nope - it was about a trip to Burger King.

Wondering about that, I reread that recently. And I came to the conclusion that it was my most-commented blog entry for two reasons. One, it was relate-able. Even if the situation never happened to anybody else, they could picture it happening. And secondly, and most important, I think it was really well-written. It's a bit over-dramatic, but I do think I nailed it in terms of making it read how I wanted it to read.

Either Gene Siskel or Roger Ebert had the over-reaching theory of movies - it's not what they're about, it's how they're about what they're about. I've read JUB posts and blog entries about amazing occurrences, gripping tales, and hot sweaty man sex...and been bored senseless. And I've read posts and blog entries about doing laundry, and wanted to know what happened next.

Sometimes, it's not what happened. It's how you tell people about it. :)
