What's your favorite animated Disney film? Yes, CG counts.

Mine has to be Sleeping Beauty. The story isn't as strong, and I tend to like the Little Mermaid more, but Sleeping Beauty has that 'old fairy tale turned animated' feel like Snow White (ick) wheras the other ones are more like modern contextualized fairy tales. Stylistically, it's beautiful and the adaptations of Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty ballet score are wonderful. It probably wins because of Malifecent's theme when she gets Aurora to prick her finger (so haunting) and the fairies battling the forces of evil.

Aladdin! Robin Williams in aladdin made me laugh for hours on end when I was younger. Thats my all time favorite Disney movie.

The Lion King has to be my fav. Also Hunchback-the songs are outstanding and the fact it's about someone "different" being accepted by "normal" people. The song "Out There" gives me chills everytime.

Aladdin is my favorite, but I find my friends and I quote The Emporer's New Groove many times through the week.

'The Lion King'... not only one of the greatest animated motion picture ever made. It's also one of the best films ever.

Combining Shakespearean plots with beautifully crafted music in a backdrop of talking animals... brilliant.

For me it's: "The Jungle Book", "Beauty And The Beast", and "The Lion King". :-)

PETER PAN - a good advert for all boys never to grow up!
The ARISTOCATS - the "Everbody wants to be a Cat" scene is like an acid trip - so I'm told.
SLEEPING BEAUTY / THE LITTLE MERMAID purely for the villanesses

Little Mermaid

Beauty and the Beast

Alladin

The Lion King...

There was that last great gasp of talent there in the
late 80's/early 90's... Broadway quality scores, great storylines,
movies that kids and adults could love at the same time.

Things started slowly going downhill with 'Pocahanis' (sp)
and never really got back to that level.

^ I'll second that, Joshua. They have some good stuff, but after Lion King, they started losing that magic that endeared me to it. Somehow, I don't think a million sequels are a valid source of magic.

My favs are: The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Aladdin, and one im suprised nobody put yet Mulan.

I've got two... Aladdin and Toy Story.

Aladdin was great in that it felt like and sounded like it could have been on Broadway if it were not an animated film. Not to mention the fact that Robin Williams was in top form! Toy Story was another favorite as it really showed what CG animation could do. But first and foremost, this movie had a great story.

Honorable Mention? The Incredibles. But that's because I'm a comic book geek.

Aladdin, all the way. The songs are just unforgettable. 15 years later, I still know "Prince Ali" by heart.

Prince Ali! Fabulous he!
Ali Ababwa
Genuflect, shom some respect
Down on one knee!
Now, try your best to stay calm
Brush up your sunday salaam
The come and meet his spectacular coterie

God! I need to watch the movie again!

Oh! How could I forget 101 Dalmatians? I absolutely love that movie...for all the wrong reasons though. I always felt Cruella DeVille should have come out triumphant in the end. I just LOVE her. Glenn Close plays her wonderfully in the newer live action films.
