Yeah, but Asimov's wife let them make that loathsome travesty I, Robot too. The wives don't always have the best judgment. Or any at all.

omg all the Roald Dahl books, and probably Where The Red Fern Grows.

We read that in grade 7. I remember crying at the end.

I can't really remember - it's a LONG time ago. But possibly any or all of: The Wind in the Willows, the Narnia series, the Paddington Bear books, Professor Branestawm, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland...

The Bunnicula series by James Howe! Best children's series ever!

But they weren't around when I was a kid. I read them as an adult. And laughed. And loved them. And recommend them to everyone.

D'aulaires' Book of Greek Myths

I loved this book so much I slept with it under my pillow. I still have it.

I had that same book! I took it out of the library and read it over and over. It bowdlerized some things, of course, but if I am a polytheist, that book is what started me going.

Wow. Thanks for reminding me. I remember that cover so vividly. This is great!

I was a huuuuge fan of Animorphs, the entire series.

Roald Dahl was my hero. BFG was the favourite, mostly because it involved farts. What more could an eight year old want?
