I'm kind of starting to get into the Christmas spirit, and I'm wondering what everyone's favorite Christmas movies are.

Some of mine.

I grew up with the classic Christmas movies and prefer them to the new movies. For instance, I much prefer the 1947 version of Miracle on 34'th Street:

I also prefer the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol with Alistair Sim:

And then there's George and Clarence with Bert and Ernie:

Yesterday, I found a used copy of this at my favourite second-hand media store. The perfect way to hold onto (regain?) my youth:

I like my holiday movies a little darker:

The Ref
Gremlins

Ms Scrooge
Scrooge (the one with Patrick Stewart)
Scrooged (With Bill Murray)
A Christmas Story

It's not an Christmas film (not even a film, it's a mini-series) but I saw it a few years back around Xmastime and it's become some sort of a tradition for me to watch it during Xmas holidays.

The 10th Kingdom, it is a faerytale fantasy mini about a young woman from New York (the mythical 10th kingdom) who's drawn into the world of the 9 kingdoms where faerytales come from (apparently the Grimm brothers visited at one point). There she gets mixed up in the evil queen's plot to take over the kingdoms. It's such a fantastic and cute story and it doesn't hurt that one of the main characters, Wolf (a half human half wolf - not a werewolf) is to die for ^^

The original Home Alone is always a classic:-), haven't seen the 2nd one in ages, so I can't say much about that one. I also love Bad Santa :D

"A Christmas Carol" (the 1951 version with Alastair Sim) is not only my favorite Christmas movie, but is tied for my choice for all-time favorite movie (tied with GoodFellas). I watch this movie every Christmas Eve and never tire of it.

"Miracle on 34th Street" the original version.

Frank Capa's It's A Wonderful Life
A Cosmic Christmas
Rudolph The Red Nosed Raindeer
Frosty The Snowman
One Magic Christmas
A Christmas Story
