That was Dolly jumping into the disco craze when all the country fans thought she was selling out!!! She is a great entertainer. That song seems to rarely show up on any of her numerous 'greatest hits' albums...not sure if they don't include it because it is doesn't fit into her image OR if they're some contractual obligations with RCA.

She will be appearing at DollyWood on March 27th and it the ambassodor of this year's 75th birthday of the Great Smokey Mtn National Park in TN

While 'Baby I'm Burnin'" was her one big disco hit to date, she is now working on an untitled new CD that will be all dance music....definitely a new direction for the Queen of Country.

Parton says she's breaking out the disco ball for a record of original dance songs that does not yet have a release date. Remember when Cher had the hit "Believe" from a CD devoted to her gay fans with dance anthems on it...now Dolly's gay devotees get a record.

She said in an interview earlier this week that "It'll be something for the people who like to go out and get on the dance floor," she says. "I'm excited about it. It'll kind of be country dance music. We're going to have a song on there called "Dance With Me Darlin'' and another one called "Just a Wee Bit Gay.' That one's about a woman who's married a gay man but she didn't realize he was gay until now. One of the lines is, "I should have known something was up when I came home and found you in the kitchen in my frilly apron.'"

Dolly is a legend. She's so talented and her music is so genuine. I would love to see her live one day.

Gosh, I grew up listening to Dolly, so I cannot pick just one; however, I have to say that the following are some of my most favorites: "Jolene", "9 to 5", "Islands in the Stream" and "Travelin' Thru". I was really impressed when she wrote that for "Transamerica".

My favorite song all time Is Dolly's version of I Will Always Love You. I couldn't even rank the rest of the songs. I think there are only 2 songs she's ever done that I don't care for.

Even though I have every song already, I just got her new 4CD box set from Amazon, titled Dolly. It has a great booklet with it. I also picked Letters To Heaven: Songs of Faith & Inspiration

Dolly Parton plans gay-friendly dance album

Pop divas from Cher to Madonna to Lady Gaga have embraced their gay fans with dance music, and now Dolly Parton plans to do the same.

The Sevier County native annonced her intentions at a press conference for her just-wrapped world tour, according to Billboard.

"At some point I would like to do a dance record and I have several songs that are very positive towards the gay community," Parton said. "I have a song called 'Just A Wee Bit Gay.' It's a great little dance tune, it's funny and it's got a lot of comic in it… I do write a lot of songs along those lines with people that are different and are just themselves."
